Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright Vacuum

The first vacuum I got arrived broken. Chewy was nice enough to replace the vacuum, although returns on these big items are still a hassle. I wish I’d opted for a refund and not exchange. I got the replacement and I’m not at all happy. I’d had a previous iteration of this model that was fairly good - the narrow cleaning path was very helpful . The current version shows continued Shark decline and disinterest in improvement. This one has no light (a great thing once you’ve tried it), and to get a model with a light is far more expensive with no additional benefits, so I got this and it’s a dud. This machine is heavy, and it seems heavier than the specifications listed on Shark’s site (Chewy doesn’t provide adequate or helpful specs for such items so research must be done elsewhere), so cleaning stairs is a hard chore and this is not a suitable tool. It has decent suction, but the clunkiness and weight make this too hard to use. It doesn’t allow for cleaning under low furniture, and using the wand isn’t helpful because the suction doesn’t work for the wand and its attachments. The attachment tools are supposed to attach to the vacuum, but they just fall off. I tried to like this, and I tried to find what it could reasonably do since it’s a fail as a general home vacuum. Alas, I cannot like this and I don’t even use it - not worth the frustration. It’s too late for a refund now, so I’m stuck with a Shark vacuum cleaner that has proven to be a total waste of money. Now I’m out of the money spent and do not have a usable vacuum for general home cleaning. This is by far my most disappointing Chewy purchase, and our family has decreased spending with Chewy.

The vacuum has great suction power, but the canister is small compared to my old Dyson. The cord is too short and also gets in the way, on the floor, when sweeping.
