Put your precious pup’s hair in its place with the Shed Defender Shedding Dog Bodysuit. This patent-pending onesie is made from a recycled, environmentally-friendly, polyester spandex material that’s durable enough to withstand canine wear-and-tear, while still being lightweight and breathable. Shed Defender is intended to be worn in the house, car and anywhere you don’t want dog hair, dirt, dander or allergens. In addition to trapping the shedding hair inside the suit for fast and easy clean up, it also helps protect sensitive skin from exposure and reduce anxiety by applying gentle full-body pressure to help him feel safe and calm. It can even be used to replace a bulky, uncomfortable e-collar by covering injuries, wounds and other sensitive areas to prevent your pooch from licking or chewing.
Key Benefits- Contains the shedding by trapping loose dog hair within the suit; keeps dog hair, dirt, dander and allergens out of your car and house.
- Made of premium, eco-friendly polyester spandex RecoTex fabric that’s lightweight, durable and breathable to keep your pup safe, comfortable and cool.
- Also helps reduce anxiety, protect against cold weather, shield sensitive skin from exposure, and even replace an e-collar by covering wounds and surgical sites.
- Easy to put on and take off; can even be worn on walks and potty breaks–just partially open the zipper along his belly so he can do his business.
- Machine washable and dryer friendly; available in four colors and a wide variety of sizes to fit almost every size pooch.

Perfect For The Job
By Nica on Feb 25, 2021
Originally got this for our Weimaraner after her mass removal surgery but because of the winter storms in Texas it didn’t arrive until after but to our surprise she loves to wear this. She hated clothes before and now she loves outfits and shoes. The zipper is a tad bit difficult to adjust to make it comfortable but with many things I’m sure that will come easier with time and experience. Plus, this keeps her coat from designing us a new floor. 13/10 would recommend. Can’t wait to take her in the car with this! Also, we got the XL size!

Seasonal Blow for double coated dogs
By SamoyedOwner on Feb 8, 2021
For reference, I purchased a large. My 1 year old samoyed is experiencing his first blow this winter. It's been terrible. I have been keeping him in his crate and vacuuming constantly. I found this and now he is able to walk around and laydown without having to stay in his crate between walks. The Shed defender can only be left on for up to 8 hours. I love the zip so he is able to go outside and lift his leg without a mess.

upset mommy
By marleyboy1 on Jan 19, 2021
I was hoping that I would have invested into a quality product that would help my big boy’s shedding...however this turned out to be a total waste of $57.99 as he only wore it once. I washed it once on delegate cycle and the zipper broke. The xl was actually a bit too big for my 60 lb Manchester Terrier, but I didn’t think I would have wasted my money in such a short time before he could get use to wearing it. Didn’t work for us.

Great for post surgical use
By WisconsinDoodle on Dec 28, 2020
Our dog recently had two cysts removed, leaving two large sets of stitches at the top of her legs. Most post surgery shirts for dogs are sleeveless, and we found she could still get at the stitches and bother them. This suit was light, pretty easy to put on, and kept her from getting at the stitches without having to wear a cone. It’s also really well made, the zipper has a guard behind it so you don’t zip the dogs hair, and if you had a dog with any kind of abdominal surgery it would be perfect for that too. Highly recommend this suit!

An expensive gamble that (mostly) works!
By KayandRoo on Nov 21, 2020
I have a pointer, which is a slender and muscular dog. She is about 45-50 pounds and we ordered a size large, which is from 41-60 pounds on the chart. I think it all looks great, but when Ruthie walks in it, she doesnt have full hind leg mobility, so it is a bit inhibitive. However it would have been too big to get another size up, although that may have been a better idea. I have unzipped the back so that she can move more fully in her back legs but its not gonna do her much good when she gets spayed (and certainly doesn't do much good for keeping her blood off the carpet now that she's in heat). I wish they had room for bigger bum dogs. Not anybody's fault that all breeds of dogs can't fit I have a pointer, which is a slender and muscular dog. Not anybody's fault that all breeds of dogs can't fit into such specific measurements, but I do wish there were more measurements/sizes available to fit more of a selection of doggy shapes. Fortunately, with this on she will be able to fully join us for holidays even though my mother has some rough allergies, so I'm glad I have it on hand. … more

Best buy ever
By gambitsmom on Dec 29, 2020
I have a 120lb german shepherd with severe autoimmune and environmental/food allergies. So it's that time of year his body flares up and he licks his entire belly raw, it's tragic and heart breaking and we've tried everything. During this time he's on a cocktail of perscriptions from the vet but even those take time to work. We have tried soft cones, donut cones(inflatable), and regular cones... It's like he just sees them as a flexibility challenge at this point. Anyways this suit is amazing and he loves it!! He wants to put it on!! If your pup has skin issues... Get this

No, just no
By Sammy on Jan 17, 2021
We graciously received this as a gift and understand the intention, however hot pink is not my color. Also, polyester, poly blend, polyanything, is not breathable. Lastly, a good brushing is fine for shedding. Brushing can be done daily and is a good way to bond.

Surgery Lifesaver
By Nicjune on Jan 11, 2021
Got this for post op in place of the dreaded “cone of shame” With this on my dog couldn’t get to his incision or his IV site which was very itchy. He was unable to take this off and my legs and walls were saved from damage, unlike previous cone usage.

shed defender
By yoda on Jan 25, 2021
Works great. You still have a little shedding, with suit on, but nothing like not having a suit. I have 2 Husky's and they shed all year long. The suit even pulls hair off, when you remove it.

Controls the shedding!
By Ashley on Jan 4, 2021
I thought my dog would hate wearing this but he didn’t mind it at all! He could run and move around in it with ease and had no issues wearing it under his service dog gear. Plus it’s handy to have when he and I are visiting places where folks might have allergies or sensitivities to dogs.
