Put your precious pup’s hair in its place with the Shed Defender Shedding Dog Bodysuit. This patent-pending onesie is made from a recycled, environmentally-friendly, polyester spandex material that’s durable enough to withstand canine wear-and-tear, while still being lightweight and breathable. Shed Defender is intended to be worn in the house, car and anywhere you don’t want dog hair, dirt, dander or allergens. In addition to trapping the shedding hair inside the suit for fast and easy clean up, it also helps protect sensitive skin from exposure and reduce anxiety by applying gentle full-body pressure to help him feel safe and calm. It can even be used to replace a bulky, uncomfortable e-collar by covering injuries, wounds and other sensitive areas to prevent your pooch from licking or chewing.
Contains the shedding by trapping loose dog hair within the suit; keeps dog hair, dirt, dander and allergens out of your car and house.
Made of premium, eco-friendly polyester spandex RecoTex fabric that’s lightweight, durable and breathable to keep your pup safe, comfortable and cool.
Also helps reduce anxiety, protect against cold weather, shield sensitive skin from exposure, and even replace an e-collar by covering wounds and surgical sites.
Easy to put on and take off; can even be worn on walks and potty breaks–just partially open the zipper along his belly so he can do his business.
Machine washable and dryer friendly; available in four colors and a wide variety of sizes to fit almost every size pooch.
Please consult your veterinarian before using it for medical reasons.
The fact that this is even a thing is way beyond me. If the thought of a shedding dog is that appalling to you then you don't need a dog, you need a fish. This is just as ridiculous as those flower shaped butt covers for pets. Be RESPONSIBLE and groom your dog properly based on their breed and/or keep them outside.
Where has this been all my life!

Absolutely love this! It is so helpful with keeping the hair messes low. Much better than the t-shirt I was using:-) thank you sheddefender. My dog is 62 lbs lab mix & the extra large fit like a glove.
A Product for the Lazy

How about brushing out your dog a couple of times a week - the Furminator is a great product that can be purchased on this site - rather than forcing it into this ridiculous body condom?
I want a dog that looks like a dog, not a reject from Cirque du Soleil.
Perfect to protect from Allergies!

We bought this to protect our female from contact with grass, which exacerbate her allergies. She looks so cute in it and it seems to do the job! As for shedding, I don't know how it would work, but I imagine it would be good for that too.
I want every color!

I got the mini, pink, Shed Defender for my little hairless dog. She loves wearing it, and I dont have to worry about her body breaking out in hives from allergens at the park anymore. Easy to put on, unzip for her to potty, and its adorable.

My Bernese Mountain Dog has 3. Berners make a Husky blowout look like a Maltese shedding. In other words, Berners dont shed twice a year...THEY SHED EVERYDAY & those of us blessed to be owned by Berners call it "Bernerfetti". If it gets in your mouth, and it will if you come to visit us, don't worry its just extra fiber. On a serious note, the ShedDefender is am AMAZING PRODUCT if you have a dog that shed ALOT no matter how much you brush it, if you have a dog thats scared of storms or fireworks, if you have a dog with mild separation anxiety issues or if your dog has had surgery and hates an e-collar. My Berner has parents, grandparents, & great-grandparents who did & to this day guard sheep, therefore Bernie likes to "patrol" the house at night(hes an inside dog) and make sure his hooman is safe. When he's wearing 1 of his 3 ShedDefender body suits, I don't know BUT he sleeps thru the night. Before he got his 1st one, everytime there was a bad storm he would go get in the walk in shower(as a young puppy that's where I would take him during tornado warnings), but now he wakes me up to see what he needs to. SHOULD we go to the storehouse or bathroom? He has not once gotten in the shower since he got a ShedDefender. As far as sizing goes, it depends not just on weight in my experience. Bernie's weight puts him into 2XL bcuz he weighs 150# & he can fit into that BUT it's a little too snug bcuz he has a 36 inch girth. The 2XL goes up to 150#. So his other 2 we got are size GIANT. I would suggest if your dog is right on the upper end and has a large girth & large neck (his custom ID collar is a 28") if it were me I'd size up. His neck does NOT measure 28" that's just a loose fit collar to hold his ID tags. And I will say this bcuz some1 remarked about it, YES it is snug around their necks BCUZ ITS A COMPRESSION GARMENT. ALSO. what I RRALLY REALLY LOVE PERSONALLY, Bernie ia my Service Dog and during the pandemic he has worn his $5 CHEWY boots with his ShedDefender out in public and that makes me feel confident he is not bringing the virus back into our home bcuz we "undress" his outside b4 he comes in and the wipe him down with Vetricyn spray which is also sold on Chewy. I'm not worried Bernie will get COVID19. My concern is him getting it on his body and bringing it back home and then I get it. I know he cant get it and give it to me. The customer service at ShedDefender is phenomenal. Its definitely worth checking out their website!!!! FYI the only x u will have to unzip is to take it off or let a male urinate. THATS ALL.… more
Shedding Dog Bodysuit

This Body suit does help with my dogs shedding. She as Addison disease and has to take medication that causes Alopecia. She is 120lbs and broad chest. It is fairly easy to get on and off. The only thing is that in the middle of the night I heard "Strange paw steps" LOL the sleeves had come down over her paws. All so when I took it off outside to shake hair off, a lot of hair came off but still quit a bit left on. Still less hair in house than before.
Order up in size

The suit choked my dog due to needing to be longer and she is right in the middle of the weight for a large. She's a yellow lab, proportional in size. due to Covid ship times, I had to make do with it and cut the neck which has now stretched too much and is causing it's own problems.

First off when zipped up the dogs can’t use the bathroom, second the sleeves have no type of cuff to keep it on their legs my dog was constantly slipping out of it. Wasn’t pleased.

I ordered 3 outfits for my dog at the same time. 2 outfits were size x-small, and the fit well. I ordered xx-small for shed defender but it was too big.
