My dog absolutely loves these. Sometimes he puts his food on the carpet. One day he put these on the carpet and then was pulling the carpet up to get all the taste

My dog absolutely loves these. Sometimes he puts his food on the carpet. One day he put these on the carpet and then was pulling the carpet up to get all the taste. I gave it four stars because of how I have to handle it since it is raw. I now have a special mat for it that I can use a pet-safe Clorox spray on after he eats because I have to treat it like it's raw chicken because it is raw even though it's freeze-dried. You can see in the video he licks the mat clean. I had to do two takes because he normally does not break his sit, but he did for this one, so I had to reinforce his training. I don't know that I would get these again because of the extra work.

My dog, Finn is an 11+ year old golden retriever. He weighs 82 lbs and can be a picky eater. I gave him 7 or 8 pieces of the freeze dried chicken a few times a day as a treat. He ate the pieces enthusiastically and I know he wanted more. I’m trying to watch his weight so I was careful about the amount I was giving him. It is clearly high quality as stated in the list of ingredients. The only negative comment I have is that the bag warned it was raw chicken and to be careful about washing your hands after coming in contact with the product. I was a little nervous about that. I ended up using a glove to put the pieces in a bowl and that worked well for me. I would highly recommend this product to a friend, as well as the Chewy.com website. It is the only website I use for my dog. A great company with helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff!

I didn’t see the nutritional analysis before I got this product. My two dogs are sisters and had severe pancreatitis about 8 years ago. They are 15 now. They can only eat food low in fat, 5% or less. So they can’t have this. But a friend of mine was over with her two pups. She knows where the dog treats are! And she grabbed this for her two. They loved it!!! She knows about my dogs and asked me why I had it, didn’t give it to my two. I think it is a great topper because her dogs were very enthusiastically eating it and then staring at the bag for more. But if your dog has a fat metabolism issue, it is not for them.

Shepherd Boy Farms Chicken Recipe was a huge hit in our household. It’s no surprise, considering the first five ingredients are chicken, chicken livers, chicken hearts, whole egg, and flaxseed. I didn't completely switch our dogs over to this food, but I used it as a fun meal topper to add some variety to their diet. Both of my dogs absolutely loved it! I also used it as high-value treats during training. The pieces are small squares and have a harder texture, making them perfect as training treats. I felt good about giving them plenty during our training sessions without any guilt. Rome and Bear definitely recommend it!
