How is this a probiotic shampoo? I thought soap kills bacteria, good or bad... so how is there live probiotics in a shampoo?

The topical probiotics are listed in the ingredients as the probiotic blend. This includes “isoeicosane, hansenula, kloeckera, lactobacillus, lactococcus, leuconostoc pediococcus, saccharomyces, fig/lemon ferment, sorbitan oleate, cellulose gum and chitosan”. The probiotics are protected in an encapsulate until the pet dries after a bath and the encapsulate breaks down to allow the probiotic to do its magic on the skin and coat.

What exactly is the "fragrance" ingredient in this product? Is it natural lavender?

The Skout's Honor Probiotic Lavender Pet Shampoo & Conditioner product contains synthetic lavender fragrance (less than 1%). The manufacturer has found that synthetic fragrance is safer for pets compared to other ingredients like essential oils.

How is this shampoo tear free when it says in the instructions not to get in the eyes?

While this shampoo & conditioner is a tear free formula, you should still try not to get it in your pets eyes.

This shampoo & conditioner helps prevent infections, relieve hot spots and inflammation, rehydrate dry skin, and help repair and prevent hair loss, matting and excessive shedding.

Caused allergies, dandruff and hair loss

I decided to try this shampoo thinking it will help my itchy dog with her seasonal allergies. It made things so much worse by causing dandruff/flakes on my lab's

I decided to try this shampoo thinking it will help my itchy dog with her seasonal allergies. It made things so much worse by causing dandruff/flakes on my lab's coat - which previously was healthy and shiny, and her hair fell out. She now has 3 bald spots and a vet appointment coming up. I only used this 2 times before realizing that it has some terrible ingredients - methylisothiazolinone and methylchloroisothiazolinone which are dangerous chemicals - ingredients used in the manufacturer of glue, paint and detergents. Needless to say, these should not be in shampoos. Bottom line + read the label carefully and Google ingredients you aren't familiar with. Don't fall for marketing tactics like 'cruelty free and vegan' .

Do not see the hype about the scent

The smell is amazing! Not too strong
