Our little dog (toy poodle) is MISERABLE in cars - which made us miserable in cars. We tried so many things to help him calm down (he would spin and spin until he made himself sick) but nothing worked until the Sleepypod. He circles once and then settles in for the ride. Bonus was the high safety crash testing ratings. So, we bought one for every car and told everyone we know with little dogs about it - probably why it is always sold out now!

I love that it’s specifically designed for travel and our cat actually likes to go into it! The domed top gives our cat a chance to see out and the plush bottom is cozy. Well worth the price!

The Sleepypod is very well made and thought out. Unfortunately, if your cat decides it doesn't want to get in this carrier, you're SOL. Unlike a crate or rectangular carrier, you can't just place them inside and close the door - your cat will grab the sides of the and refuse to go in. I bought one before moving cross country with my cat because I was worried about her safety, but I wound up with a bunch of unnecessary scratches and stress with this. Unless you have a free way to return it if your cat doesn't take to it, I wouldn't risk the (very high!) price of the Sleepypod.

This saftey carrier for the car is exactly what I wanted. We tried multiple car harnesses and none worked out. I am a very worrisome person and one constant worry was my dog in the car and possible accidents. It is a little pricey but it is totally worth putting my mind at ease and one less thing to worry about. We started it slow getting my pup used to it. Started it in the house with treats and food. Then it went in car without him having to get in it. After using treats in the car he started going in on his own. Then once he was comfortable it got zipped up and now that he is used to it he prefers being in it. We have gone a couple long road trips with no issues. My dog is a chihuahua mix with slightly longer legs so I was a little worried about the size but he fits good. He can stand but probably not comfortable. He stays layed down or sometimes sits up in it. It's very sturdy and easy to use. Very happy with it! I would definitely recommend it to anyone I know that has a small pup or kitty :)

Product is well made and easy to install. I didn't give it 5 stars as it rides a bit warm, and you have to take the entire liner out to wash. My puppy threw up

My puppy threw up in it twice, so had to deal with washing it. Instructions say not to put in dryer, so you have to wait for it to air dry, and it's plush so takes awhile. It would be nice if there were another easy to remove, wash and dry insert.

I love this carrier, the price was higher than I wanted to spend but the quality is top notch, it’s very sturdy/well made, it’s easy to load my cat in, and will make for super easy vet visits. My cats are both pretty high on the chonk scale and they each fit comfortably. It seems to be a pretty high demand item and I had my first order cancelled after several days only for it to come back in stock the next day.

After hearing many stories online about pets that hate their carrier, I did a significant amount of research before deciding on sleepypod. The price point is enough to hesitate, but the actual product is astounding quality. It’s incredibly well made, both BSH and Scottish fold kittens love to go in/out/lounge, easy to carry and buckle into the car seats. While there are weight recommendations, the mini is a great size for six month/six pound kittens whereas I did consider upgrading to the large. However, seeing the large, it’s huge enough to fit two kittens with plenty of room to spare! Definitely glad I brought the mini.

So why have it available to buy? It’s so frustrating especially since this has happened twice ,I reordered from the first time my first order was canceled and then a week later it said in stock again ,so I reordered only to have it not shipping for 7 days. So I contacted chewy and was told it’s out of stock. Not acceptable. So if the eggshell one says in stock it’s a lie. Have accurate stock before saying available.
