How much should we mix in with grower feed to supplement/mimic the calcium level in layer feed? We accidentally ordered the wrong feed and want to amend it.

Packaging needs improvement

Great product itself- my hens seem to love it! However, it wasn’t shipped protectively and a lot of the product spilled out. The box was also sort of taped shut

Great product itself- my hens seem to love it! However, it wasn’t shipped protectively and a lot of the product spilled out. The box was also sort of taped shut. Otherwise it was a good buy. Hopefully they will improve with packaging methods

I’ve used oyster shell for years and my chickens would barely ever use it. I just assumed they must not need it. But after switching to this flake oyster shell, they eat some every day. It appears that they like the flaky type more than the rough nugget type.

Hens actually eat it!

The nugget type oyster shell sat in the pan and my hens shells were getting rather thin. I thought I’d try this. I’m on my 3rd or 4th box now. Yes it costs more

The nugget type oyster shell sat in the pan and my hens shells were getting rather thin. I thought I’d try this. I’m on my 3rd or 4th box now. Yes it costs more per pound, but if your chickens don’t eat the cheap nugget what’s the point in buying it? I’ll keep getting this product. They pick it out of the nuggets in the same pan. Ive even put the flakes on one side and the cheap nuggets on the other to see if I was getting it right and they definitely go for the flakes. Very good product.

Hard to find

Flaked shell is difficult to find. My girls will only eat the flaked shell. Tho, I wish the packaging was better and secure for less leaking and product loss.

This is real oyster shell, don't make the mistake of buying the stuff called Coral Calcium that is sometimes stated to be oyster shell. Trust me it's not the same

This is real oyster shell, don't make the mistake of buying the stuff called Coral Calcium that is sometimes stated to be oyster shell. Trust me it's not the same and the chickens will know the difference, they won't touch that stuff.

I have specific needs for delivery. I am 100% Disabled. I have instructed Chewy not to make packages over 30# and to deliver to front door in the wagon. They continually make packages over 40# and leave my packages in front of my garage door (in the rain)! No one wants to do their job!
