Great Food, just not for my guinea pig
I have used Small Pet Select with all of my guinea pigs since 2019. Before starting with Small Pet Select, my guinea pigs would waste 3/4 of their hay and food
I have used Small Pet Select with all of my guinea pigs since 2019. Before starting with Small Pet Select, my guinea pigs would waste 3/4 of their hay and food pellets, but since I started giving them Small Pet Select 1st Cut Timothy Hay and Fortified Guinea Pig food, the amount of waste has tumbled to almost nothing. I love this company and their products, which is why I am sad to say that this product did not work for my current guinea pig. It smells and looks just like the Small Pet Select food that I have been using for years, and my guinea pig started to eat it right away. I followed the instructions for introducing the new food, but my guinea pig started to have awful diarrhea with this food. It went on for days, until I summarily threw away the mixed food and went back to the regular Small Pet Select fortified food that I have fed her previously. As soon as I switched her back, her poops became firm and normal again. She liked the food, but her gut did not agree.

My guinea pig really likes this food and seems to be doing well on it. It smells fresh and is a vibrant green color so I am confident that it is fresh and healthy

Pretty good food.
Our cavy seemed to enjoy it. They are always hungry hippos and gobbled it right up. The only thing I didn't care for was that it came in a cardboard box.
