Casa Leo Leo's Loo Too Wifi Enabled Cat Litter Box, Avocado Green

I purchased a Leo’s Loo on November 25, 2023. In October of this year, the Loo stopped working. I filed a warranty claim with Casa Leo. It was mentioned that I could reach out to Chewy to return the Loo; however, I told the agent that we would rather fix the Loo and keep it. I mean, we did spend over $450 on it. Why would we want to send it back if it could be fixed? The representative initially said that the sensors were bad and sent me a replacement set. The cost of the sensors were $30, but they were issued as part of the warranty. I followed the instructions sent with the sensors, but they did not fix the issue. I subsequently told the representative that the Loo was not working despite changing the sensors. The representative told me that there was nothing more they could do and offered me a $100 coupon to upgrade to a Leo’s Loo Too. Clearly after spending over $450 on a product that was under warranty, this was not acceptable. As it was now clear the Loo couldn’t be fixed, I requested a refund or replacement. I was then told that no refund or replacement would be issued as the product was outside of the one year warranty. This was simply not true. I filed the warranty claim when the Loo was under warranty. I was understandably frustrated. I informed the representative that refusal to honor a warranty was a violation of the Virginia Consumer Protection Act. I then received an email from the customer service representative saying that I “threatened” them. I was understandably shocked by this statement as I never threatened the agent in any shape, form, or fashion. I understand that this representative cannot change company policy, so I stopped responding to their emails, as it was clear it was of no use. I have purchased two products from Casa Leo: a Leo’s Loo and a Leo’s Loo Too, spending over $1,000.00 with Casa Leo. This is simply unacceptable to tell a repeat customer that they are just stuck with a $450 littler box because Casa Leo refuses to honor the warranty. We thoroughly enjoyed this litter box while it worked, but I simply cannot recommend it due to the poor customer service and product quality. I am just hoping that the Leo’s Loo Too we have remaining continues to work, otherwise we will have spent over $1,000 on two litter box that don’t work. I would recommend purchasing another type of litter box that will be more reliable and a company that will actually honor their warranty.
