This was my kitten's first toy when I adopted her and it's still her favorite. The feathers shed over time, but that's expected since my kitten devours them like a snack. However, after six months, it's still pretty fluffy and the wand overall is holding up well. Great product!

My cat’s favorite; inconsistent quality from manufacturer

When this toy works it’s probably the best toy ever. A simple light drag around in circles or figure 8s and the feathers twirl effortlessly and it immediately engages

When this toy works it’s probably the best toy ever. A simple light drag around in circles or figure 8s and the feathers twirl effortlessly and it immediately engages my cat’s instincts and he jumps at it relentlessly. I ordered a few from Chewy and 1/3 of them performed as expected and 2 of them weren’t able to twirl since the feathers were crushed or weren’t set up correctly. Chewy was kind enough to replace one of them for me and by my luck that one also didn’t twirl :(. So far I’m 2/5 I guess. 40% chance it’ll be the best toy ever if you order it.

My most playful cat enjoyed this. However on the quality of this product a cat that plays more rough could easily break it. The plastic isn’t very strong and a cat that chews could chew through the string, but for kittens and older cats ( or any more gentle cat) it should work well as long as u put it up when not in use. My cats are pretty picky about toys so even a 1/3 approval for them is good

Makes a realistic flying sound

The feathers spin in a way that makes a realistic fluttering sound similar to a bird flying by, which is what excites my cat the most with this wand. The string

The feathers spin in a way that makes a realistic fluttering sound similar to a bird flying by, which is what excites my cat the most with this wand. The string is short - about a foot long, but that’s perfect for us because the longer strings scare my cat after having an incident where one wrapped around her during play. It’s not elastic though, which would make it better. The extendable handle is loose at the connection so it doesn’t stay extended, but I just taped it and it works fine that way.
