SmartyKat Showy Singer Electronic Sound Wand Cat Toy

I adopted Mama Bear six months ago, a beautiful 11 year old Maine Coone with a touch of OA and some issues with her ears. She’d been at the Shelter a few months before I found her online, where I learned she was slated to “be removed” from the Shelter system the next day. I bolted out of the house and arrived at the adoption center an hour before close. They stayed late so I could complete the forms and take her home. While she’s settled-in nicely, ruling her new domain with a gentle paw, she’s had no interest in play whatsoever. We bought just about every type of cat toy they make, but she just wasn’t interested UNTIL I brought this home!!!! She LOVES the wailing sound it makes, the bouncy ribbons, that it’s long enough to use as a kicker, and that the fluffy body is substantial enough into which she can sink her claws. And while I usually avoid toys with feathers (potential choking hazard when they rip out), these feathers have taken a beating yet remain firmly in-place. The wand allows me to dangle it or run it along the ground, depending on her choice of play that day. She l o v e s this toy. I have since added other medium-to-large wailing electronic toys (4” ball with long tail and shiny tassel that wails as it darts across the floor, a wailing fluffy lizard that writhes as it flicks it’s stringy tail, etc). These are the toys my larger breed fully-clawed cat loves. Medium to larger sized toys that move and make noise. While Mama Bear looooves quality catnip (Smartykat only, no prickly Silvervine), it’s no big deal if the toy doesn’t have a built-in catnip pouch as I can just roll it in catnip once a week and she’s lovin’ it. Thanks to this amazing toy, my larger breed fully-clawed cat is loving playtime, hunting “prey,” and getting the mental stimulation she needs.
