I really like how durable this coop feels, I think it will outlast my hens. I have three Black Copper Marans and don’t think more standard sized hens would fit because there is only a single roosting bar. One change I wish the manufacturer would make is to make the nesting boxes roll away for egg protection and to keep the eggs cleaner. When it’s cold or windy mine will hang out in the nesting boxes and sometimes poo on or peck the eggs. With the way they are formed it would be a very easy change. I’ll try to retrofit something but it’s the only thing I’d change. I do wish it came with a ladder but we whipped one up from scraps. My instructions did not show how to build a base for the coop, I think I saw in the reviews somewhere that it came with instructions for that. Maybe that’s only for the larger coop? Ours is just sitting on a plywood platform for now.
The material this is made from is going to last a LONG time.

This was easy to put together and the Large is plenty big enough for my 7 hens. I chose to only have my coop on the base it comes with so the nesting boxes are a little lower than I would like for me but the height is perfect for my 4 year old grandson who helps me tend the chickens when he comes over.
Nice coop
The description is deceiving because it shows the house up on stilts and a ladder. Neither came with the small coop. If it’s not included with the product then
The description is deceiving because it shows the house up on stilts and a ladder. Neither came with the small coop. If it’s not included with the product then don’t display it as being part of the assembly. Somewhat false advertising. It was very easy to put together and I think my 4 chickens will fit nicely inside. I would have given it 5 stars but due to the fact it’s shown with parts that don’t come with it, I only felt it deserves 4 stars
Have they ever seen a chicken?
This coop is very small, even the large one. I have 7 normal size chickens and this is not going to work. Maybe this thing can hold 10 cornish game hens, but definitely

Great for our 4 hens!

This is easy to assemble, however the overall price point I believe is too high. I’m not sure what production costs on these, and I know across the board they are priced similar no matter the website but due to the size I feel like this should be about $400. Ive felt with chewey on numerous occasions for other pet items and they are a great company to deal with, this is why I chose to order through them. I just was expecting this to be larger considering the price.
So much better than wood!
We use this coop for 2 ducks. It's is easy to clean, I can scrub with soap and water and hose off. The bedding can easily be changed. Would definitely recommend

I bought them both second hand and have had them eight and six years. They stand up to cold weather and have not cracked, nor become brittle or bleached in the sun. They are predator-proof unless you've got bears. They are light enough to move easily, which may be good but may mean you need to bolt them to a post to stop the wind moving them. They are a snap to clean, and your birds will probably not get mites and if they do, it will be easy to treat and get rid of them, unlike with a wooden house. Why are a /house/ not a complete coop. This is NOT a full set up for chickens. The chickens need to get out into a run every day, no matter the weather. There is room in these houses to to roost and lay, but no room to walk, play, socialise fully, or to have food and water dishes.

I bought this coop elsewhere about 6 months ago before it was available here. I really like it although the number of large sized birds it holds comfortably is, IMO only about 6 as they need about 12" of roosting space. That is if you dont plan on keeping them in all the time as it would be totally bad, No room and no light. It looks like it would leak in spots but actually it does not. I spray it off with a hose. We made a treated wooden frame for inside the base which seemed a bit wimpy and we have it on the ground in a chain link run. We have it where it is pretty shady and the inside stays quite cool even on our 104+F days. No experience in winter yet. It did great during heavy wind when our other elevated small wooden coop blew over in spite of anchoring and was destroyed with 20 mph wind. If you have wind, I don't suggest elevating it very much because it is rather light. Having 4 nesting boxes is a bit overkill so they do come in handy for keeping feed dry.
Easy to assemble
We have three hens they all go in at night without encouragement it’s very cold here. They seem to love it. . I think 4 laying boxes is a bit much though. Price
