I have an 11-year-old beagle, and he’s picky about food at this age. We’ve tried so many brands I honestly stopped keeping count. When I opened the first can (lamb), I was surprised - it looked like real, chunky meat, not mush. Clean smell, clean texture. I actually felt good putting it in his bowl. He didn’t hesitate for a second. No sniff-and-walk-away. He just ate. Fast. And for a senior dog, that enthusiasm means a lot. His stomach handled it well too - no issues afterward, which is usually our problem with new foods. The chicken flavor went the same way: clean bowl, happy beagle, no complaints. I like that the bundle has two flavors to rotate, and it feels like higher-quality ingredients than what we usually see. Yes, it’s a little on the pricey side without autoship, but honestly? Worth it for a food he actually eats and feels good on. Already ordered more. If you’ve got a picky or senior dog, this bundle is 100% worth trying.

My dog is super picky and refused to eat his dry food without adding something on top. We normally use another brand to mix in to his food, but he has been fighting

My dog is super picky and refused to eat his dry food without adding something on top. We normally use another brand to mix in to his food, but he has been fighting that for awhile. My dog doesn't normally eat breakfast and he was BEGGING to eat this. I love that it promotes gut health as my dog has always had slight stomach and allergy issues. The ingredients are pretty clean for a dog food. Overall, I'm really happy with these and will continue to buy these to mix in to my dogs food.

I received the Solid Gold Nutrientboost Hund-n-Flocken Lamb + Chicken bundle to rotate proteins and add a wetter option to my dog’s routine. The consistency is great, not overly watery, and it mixes well with kibble without turning everything into soup. My dog’s appetite has been noticeably better at mealtime since I added it. Packaging was fine and portions were easy to handle. The only downside is the smell is a bit strong when you open it, but that’s pretty common with wet food. Overall, I’m happy with it and would recommend it if your dog likes lamb/chicken flavors or you need a dependable topper.

I have two Schnauzers, the picky eater is 2 years old and she inhaled it and begged for more. My older Schnauzer, 13 years also liked it but she likes anything. I normally use a very expensive, high quality dry food for them but decided to try this simply because of the ingredients. They are better than most dog foods but I was a little hesitant because of the grain. It is a little expensive but I would use it again in the future.

When I first tried this new food, I was hesitant. I’ve gone through 7 or 8 brands with my dogs and I was expecting Solid Gold to be yet another brand they don’t

When I first tried this new food, I was hesitant. I’ve gone through 7 or 8 brands with my dogs and I was expecting Solid Gold to be yet another brand they don’t like. When I opened the can, i immediately thought of my mother’s, delicious corned beef. This food has a similar texture. It looks fresh and clean not sloppy. I feel so guilty sometimes about giving my dogs food that looks slimy and smells gross, even though they will eat it for a while. But no, from the opening of the can. I was already impressed. I tried the Solid Gold lamb, first. I flaked out the chunky lamb unto their bowls. Even though they are large standard poodles, they only eat twice a day and giving them half a can was more of a “taste test.” However, I was surprised by how much chunky lamb there was! It wasn’t a lot of slime and unidentified parts; it was chunky, flakey, moist meat! At first they came close and sniffed it. They looked at me as though they were about to eat my dinner and not theirs! I gave them the “okay” and they started eating the Solid Gold like they had been starving themselves! I couldn’t believe it when I heard both of them growling at each other if they got too close. My poodles often share their food and take turns at their bowls, so growling is NOT an issue when they eat. I was in disbelief at how fast they ate the Solid Gold Nutrientboost, Hund-n-flocken lamb! They ate the second can for dinner. This time it was the Solid Gold with Healthy Whole Grain. I got my phone ready to record to get their honest first time reaction and I was thrilled to see that my dogs Loved this food! The next day they refused to eat their regular food. I tried going down to my local pet store to get more of this Solid Gold wunderfood! But alas, they didn’t have any. I ended up ordering 8 cases of 6 cans in the two flavors they tried. I also ordered a couple of cans of the chicken and liver to try later. Unfortunately, the food won’t get here until Monday. But I honestly feel like a load of stress left my body. I worry a lot about my dog’s health and digestion. I’m willing to pay any price for food they love and doesn’t make them sick. I am so in love with Solid Gold since it’s way more affordable than their regular food! No more stressing over what I will feed them! I can’t wait until the food arrives! Thanks, Solid Gold!

I have a picky small breed dog and she ate this up for several days. She doesn’t always eat her food and if I get a new food she will eat it for a day or 2 and then stop eating, but she’s been eating this for a week now. I usually prefer grain free but this still has a good protein content and their using healthy grains that are in smaller quantities then some of the well known brands. I also love that you have the option to get a case with 2 flavors. The price with auto ship is good, but in my opinion it’s high for a one time purchase. I recommend if u have a picky dog try it out and see if they like it.

Surprisingly Good

This was my one year old’s first time having canned food. Bless his heart, he has been outsmarted by Jell-O, so I’m not surprised he didn’t gulp it down fast.

This was my one year old’s first time having canned food. Bless his heart, he has been outsmarted by Jell-O, so I’m not surprised he didn’t gulp it down fast. He did seem to enjoy it. I was very happy to find it did not cause him any stomach upset as often happens when trying new foods. I would definitely buy this again! He would be happy to have it again.

I have 2 dogs that just might be the pickiest eaters in planet animal. We've tried all the hard dog foods, a some soft canned foods. My frenchie absolutely loved the chicken recipe, while my chow chow loved the lamb. I had each dog try a half can each, and while both ate all, I could tell by the speed in which they ate on which one they liked more. Overall, Solid Gold has a hit on their hands, at least for my puppers. The nutrientboost recipe foods are a solid choice for you dogs as well!

My two dog absolutely loved this food! Out of the can, you could tell they used higher quality ingredients and while it smelled like what you would expect of dog

My two dog absolutely loved this food! Out of the can, you could tell they used higher quality ingredients and while it smelled like what you would expect of dog food, you can tell it was above the grocery store foods. Both bowls were licked clean! I would definitely recommend this food, but its high price tag makes this only an occasional treat. If it fits your budget, Solid Gold is a solid choice!

I have a very picky eater, like would rather starve than eat his food picky. We tried both of these cans, each time I just mixed in about a third with his dry food and not a bite was left. He absolutely loved it! It also did not seem to upset his stomach like a lot of wet dog food can which tells me the ingredients in this product are good. Would highly recommend, especially if you have a picky eater, and plan on keeping this product in rotation.
