Splitz Roll Over Rover Comforter, Coastal Ivory, Queen

I have never seen a comforter designed quite like this. I have seen the Scandinavian style of using separate duvets, but not the concept of having "hidden" ties that provide the option of combining them into one, with the flexibility of leaving part of it open. I really like the ability to have the bed made in a traditional way, but having the functionality of having it divided as well. One thing I especially love - and I can't stress this enough-is the width of the comforter! It is so nice to have a comforter that actually covers both sides of the mattress! Of course, that also allows plenty of width when divided, as well. As far as quality, the comforter and shams are well-made and the fabric is velvety soft. I believe it will wear well over time, even after machine washing. As for the color, the Watercolor is very much true to the pics in the listing. The only two things that I found to be potential drawbacks. I feel like you really need to have the Splitz sheet set if you like to use a top sheet; otherwise, you kind of lose the full benefit of the design. I'm also not sure how much stress the ties will be able to handle after many uses; however, they may be perfectly fine, and will never be a problem, so that doesn’t affect my rating at all. Overall, this is a neat idea that I’m hoping will give us more space to stretch out, and still let our dog sleep on the bed!
