How does this work with a multi dog family?

Since the entire SpotOn system is self-contained in the collar, each dog requires their own collar and their own (optional) cellular subscription. Fences can be shared between collars and multiple collars can be managed through the app.

Are you able to set boundaries that are NOT circler in shape without a subscription? Can the collar be affective using front and back of house at the same time (Is there a receiver?)

Without a plan, you can create GPS fences and train your dog to stay in, but without seeing his location and accessing tracking features. The collar can be affected using around your entire home. It does not contain a receiver.

How long does a charge last? Does the correction last until they return to the fenced in area? Is the correction a shock or vibration?

If you use SpotOn with a tracking subscription, you will get 25+ hours of runtime or 35+ hours if you activate Extended Battery Life Mode. If you opt-out of a subscription, the rechargeable battery provides 40+ hours of runtime. The SpotOn collar will not issue a static correction to dogs returning home. Unlike other systems, the SpotOn's GPS dog collar plays two sets of tones before vibrating or sending a static correction (an optional and adjustable stimulation to assist with correcting behavior).

Will work in wooded areas

It was easy to set up the fence. Unfortunately, we live in Northern Michigan and our yard has been covered in snow and ice ever since we got it. She is wearing

She is wearing the collar everyday, but we really haven't done any training and testing. We are being patient until the conditions are safer. Will update review later.

This was my message to SpotOn as a company. I live the product and especially the customer service. If you have a little land or travel you have to get this collar This is to all of you at Spot On. I had my collar for almost 3 years and loved it. We went with you because we have a large property and wanted to let our dog Iris have freedom to be a dog. Recently I had an issue with the collar not charging at all. I called customer service and actually spoke to a human I wish I could recall her name. Within 3 minutes I sent some pictures and received an email that Spot On would send out a replacement. Could not have been easier and it’s nice to find a company that stands behind its product even years after. Thank you Spot On. You already got lots of word of mouth advertising before now I will brag about you even more.

I've been using SpotOn for about 6 months now and could not be happier with the collar. I don't have a huge property, but live on about 5 acres of land and wanted to give my golden retriever freedom to run around without me having to worry. The cost for a physical fence was literally tens of thousands of dollar and we just couldn't afford that. While $1000 is still an investment, it's so much less than what we would've had to pay for a physical fence. SpotOn's support was great as I was actually able to talk to someone ON THE PHONE about getting the product setup properly and training my dog to use is right. So happy with this purchase and have started recommending it to all of my neighbors.

The answer is yes

I was never a big fan of electric fences and even more skeptical of GPS versions. But our new home came with 5 acres, so it was time to research and consider options

I was never a big fan of electric fences and even more skeptical of GPS versions. But our new home came with 5 acres, so it was time to research and consider options. After comparing 6 companies, I ultimately chose the SpotOn system as it is superior in every category to the competition. We got the collar and started training - and I was still skeptical. 3 weeks later we have completed the training as outlined by their step by step program - and my dog is 100% loving his new back yard and freedom. The answer is yes - it's worth it, it's as accurate as they say, it's that reliable. Do the training and you won't regret it.

Buyer beware

In the beginning they were pretty dang sweet but that only lasted a couple months then they broke for the first time, when you send them in you left with no collar

In the beginning they were pretty dang sweet but that only lasted a couple months then they broke for the first time, when you send them in you left with no collar during the repair process which can be lengthy. Shortly after the first one messed up the next one messed up and again, send it off. Then there was an update and once applied both collars broke and of course send them off again. I’ve had to do this multiple times during ownership until the warranty wore out. Now they are both broken again, but now they are out of warranty so you have to pay to have them look at the lemon collars. That can be up to $299 per collar!. So potentially I’m looking at another $598 after spending $2,000 on collars just a year ago. And of course if these break it’ll be more money to fix those. It’s horrible technical/customer service and if you get lemons like mine be prepared to be without collars for multiple weeks during repairs and then potentially out hundreds of more dollars to fix them and this appears to be endless.

Whether K9 Frank is on duty or home, I feel confident about his safety. With Spot On, I know he will stay within his set boundaries at home. At work, I rely on Spot On’s GPS tracking capabilities to follow K9 Frank while he’s tracking in different surroundings. I was able to stay back from him a bit for safety, but still watch his movements in real time. It was so Great. We Love Spot On!
