What flavor comes with the ball?
Answer by ChewyJun 27, 2017
Starmark Everlasting Bento Ball with Dental Treat Dog Chew Toy is shipped with a chicken flavor treat.

When ordering replacements, do you order the same size as the Bento Ball? I looked at the instructions for the large and it said medium replacement, I wasn't sure if that was a mistake or actually how you order? Thank you
Answer by ChewyNov 18, 2018
For the best fit with this product, the size of the replacement should match the size of the chew toy.

Is this toy made in the USA and do you have grain free treats?
Answer by ChewyJun 03, 2018
This toy is made in the U.S.A. Starmark does not offer grain-free replacement treats.

Is the dental treat grain free?
Answer by ChewyJul 22, 2017
The treat refills to fit in the Everlasting Bento Ball are not grain free.

Not as Pictured

I bought this to use as a toy for our parrot. We have three of these for her as a toy fixed to a chain - one for inside her day cage, one for on top of her day cage, and one for inside her night cage. She loves them! I bought this one for an additional perch she will be using so she'll have her favorite and familiar toy there too. The photo shows the light orange Bento ball we currently use for her three toys so I bought this one believing it was the same light orange color. I'm not sure what it's made of, but it's not at all like the light orange Bento balls she already has. It's a darker orange, shiny, and she's scared of it. Our dogs aren't interested in it either so we'll probably pitch it in the garbage and look elsewhere with the hope of finding and purchasing the light orange one. In the photo, the Bento ball on the left is the one we have three of and our parrot loves. Photos (if they submit):The Bento ball on the right is the one this review is for. The second photo is of Patty playing with her beloved toy, the light orange Bento Ball.

Best treat/toy I ever bought

This treat/toy is a by far favorite of both my puppy and my adult lab. It takes days to even get through the treat and has a perfect size compartment on the other side to place other small treats. The puppy also likes the size and texture just to use it as a chew toy without any treat and to bounce it around the house. It has also held up relatively well to all the use. Worth paying a little extra for this toy/treat.

Disappointed

The first bento ball worked well the first day, but the ”virtually indestructible” ball fell to pieces the second day. Thinking we might have gotten a “dud” the first time, I tried again. It was torn apart by our 12 pound Foxy Doxie in 30 minutes this time. So, after wasting $30+, no more Bento Balls for us.

Big chewer?

My dog is a serious chewer. I thought I would give this item a try. First of all, the preformed insert smells like vanilla (love that). Having the option to insert small kibble on the other side is genius. My pup is smart and bounces it to get every bit out of it. It keeps her occupied for around 20 minutes.

Not good for tough chewers

My Labrador had the treat out in less 5 minutes. Trying to find a good toy to keep him busy while at work. I’m sure it would work for smaller dogs or less active chewers.

dog didn't care about it

i thought this was a cool concept. my dog disagrees. in fact, he couldn't care less about it. couldn't get him to play with it at all, and he won't touch the treat. to me, the whole thing weirdly smells like vanilla frosting... i say don't bother.

my dog loves this but it isn't quite challenging enough

My dog loves the Starmark Everlasting Treat Wheeler, but she's able to get the treat out quickly and easily, so I got this one to see if it was any harder for her. It takes her longer to get the treat out of this one, which is great, but still doesn't take her very long. She's a serious chewer and loves both Starmark toys. I just wish they presented a bit more of a challenge/occupied her for longer!

Not Indestructible

Was so excited to get this toy for my 7 mo. old Aussie, he is very hard to find toys for that he can't destroy. when he was first given the toy, he chewed for a while and I was thinking this is great, next thing I know he's chewed off a piece of the toy, then another, then another, until he was able to get treat out. I had to throw the brand new toy away. so now I have treat refills with no toy to put them in. this was Med. size.

durable dog chew

I have a dog with separation anxiety and she hates going in her crate. We’re working on crate training and these durable dog chew toys work great for her destructive chewing. I am seeing a ton of review about the latex or rubber getting chewed by the dog. That hasn’t occur since having this toy. I only truly worry about that with 1 of my dogs. I ordered 3 more of these toys, because they work for my situation and I would recommend them with consideration for that a lot of dogs can chew through this material.

Entertaining but not for long

My 3 yr old retriever/lab/hound/poodle mix isn’t one to chew on things that he shouldn’t be, but used this to curb his energy while we were out of the house. This lasted him a total of 2 days. He chewed at it 3 times, 1-3 hrs. It’s not everlasting. Once he got a chunk out of around 2 inches I threw it away. Watch for large chunks they break off. However the rubber toy itself is great to stuff treats into if you need them to be busy.
