I have a better suggestion!!
My Akita had absolutely no interest in this treat toy. And you're limited to only the rings designed for this toy. Also, after reading the reviews, I don't know how safe it is. However, he LOVES the 'Starmark Treat Dispensing Chew Ball Tough Dog Toy" also sold by Chewy as a suggestion for your dog. It's not hard plastic but a sturdy rubber green ball that holds treats. I cut/break the treats into various sizes and stuff them in for a challenge for him and he spends hours picking the ball up and dropping it to get the treats to come out. It's extremely durable. He's had his for years, is an aggressive chewer and it's still perfect. I did cut one of the openings a bit more so the the treats could come out better as he's a big dog and needs larger pieces than the opening would accomodate.
Not safe for your pup!
I bought this not realizing that it was hard plastic. Once I got it, I was leery but gave it a shot. Lexi loved it. Then I went to refill it and it stabbed my hand in places she really chewed into. I also noticed areas that had blood on them. This is not a safe toy.
Lousy Finish
I received the Horseshoe and see that the ends are not finished - these will cut up my dog's tongue as she loves to lick things. I will take a file to it but others may not know to do this - a quality disappointment for sure. Not sure how it works as I have to file it down first...
Almost Good
My aussiedoodle figured out how to get the rings off in only a few minutes. I had so hoped for something to keep her busy longer. Starmark has a good concept going. I just wish they would come up with something more challenging for smart aggressive chewing dogs. I have tried most of the Starmark toys and my dog is able to figure them out in only a few minutes
Cooper’s New Fave!
My 2 yr old lab is an extremely tough chewer and tends to get bored easily by Nyla bones etc. He loves the everlasting cookie (in the tire ring since it’s tough) so we decided to try this out from the same line. He is OBSESSED. We put 3-4 rings on at a time and he will chase it around for a solid hour, can’t recommend enough!

This toy is a great distraction for our overactive pup. He figured out how to get the treats pretty quick, but it takes my bulldog some time to get the rings out. Great when we need to keep him out of our hair for a bit. Just be sure to buy some extra rings for refills.
terrible toy
This toy is so hard it made my dogs mouth bleed. It is made out of hard hard plastic. Don't buy it! Thankfully she didn't break any teeth. I wish I could get my money back
Tough chew
This product is exactly as described. I needed an item that would occupy my dog with anxiety. He does love it but I'm not sure how long it took him to figure it out. It is very strong and durable.
Happy purchase
Finally a chew toy my German shepherd cannot destroy or retrieve the treat within seconds. It takes him 20-30 minutes to get the rings off. He ended up with the extra large (should be large) but overall I am extremely happy with the purchase. Will buy again in the future.
Don't Waste Your Money
The ring treats were/are impossible for my dog to get to. After about an hour, she began chewing the very hard plastic and she's a tough chewer and small pieces of plastic were coming off. I had to take the toy away and threw it away within 2 hours of opening it and giving it to her.
