About Stella and Chewy’s
In 1997, Marie Moody adopted a dog named Stella from a local animal shelter. She soon decided that Stella needed a companion and adopted a sick pup named Chewy, who joined the family and helped forge the company’s history. On the advice of a veterinarian, Marie began feeding Chewy a raw diet to help with his health issues. He quickly recovered, and both he and Stella thrived on their new food. The experience led Marie to pursue her passion for pet nutrition and start her own business—Stella & Chewy’s.

Huskies fave
Three rescue huskies give two paws each! lol. The chicken ones are great, and do not break apart like some of the other flavors. Good bang for your buck to if you're going down the freeze dried route. Most other brands break apart and you are left with a half a bag of treat dust.
Doggie Allergies, Approved!
After my great dane was diagnosed with almost 30 allergies, we were on the hunt for new treats with minimal ingredients. These looked interesting and on her approved foods list, so I ordered some despite the higher price. My dog LOVES these! They literally look and feel like mini freeze dried chicken sausages. I love that they do not smell pungent, unlike some other single ingredient treats. I also love that the freeze drying process preserves the few ingredients for optimal nutrition. The bag is SUPER lightweight, which is great for traveling. My only suggestion is to be sure to keep them in an airtight container. Because all the moisture is gone, they tend to absorb moisture. I put them in her cute doggie treat container and they quickly became soft. I suspect they will expire quickly if left in that condition. * due to their size, they are probably best for medium or larger size dogs, BUT with that being said they do break apart easily into small pieces using your fingers.
A tasty snack
My dog, as well as some of her friends that I shared these treats with, loves these treats. The only downside is they are a bit bigger and I have a small dog which means I have to break them up. I do not mind breaking up treats and I do it all of the time, these ones can just be a bit crumbly when you break them up. They are definitely easy to break apart into smaller pieces unlike some freeze-dried treats so that is a plus. Overall, I recommend these treats for sure because all dogs I gave these to loved them, just know they are pretty big and a bit crumbly when broken apart.
#1 treat in the house!
Hands down, our dog's favorite treat. They're not smelly like other biscuits. Since they're freeze dried, they're very soft and perfect for our dog who continues to lose teeth as she ages. The bag seals up nicely so you don't need to use any additional clips or rubber bands.

Great Treat Easy to Break in Half
My dogs LOVE the Chewy Chicken Hearts so if you compare these to them they like them a little bit less. However, they have some excellent attributes. They aren't greasy like the chicken hearts and they are easy to break apart. The cats like them too. I'd buy them again. Overall a 4.5 not a 5 because they like the chicken hearts better but they are greasy and hard to break.

I have given these to my up in the past and he always loved them. I opened this new bag and the smell almost knocked me over! I threw them away. Very disappointed
