I wanted to give full stars for the Stella & Chewy Beef & Turkey flavored food. I liked the idea of a cooked style food with wholesome ingredients for my dogs that was tasty for them. They are tired of eating kibble, but I wanted something healthy. I always transition their food so I mixed this as a topper with their kibble. They seemed to loved it, but the second day my dog Dash seemed less enthusiastic about it. Not sure if he had an upset tummy from the richness of it. It could be the flavor we tried. Might need to try just the turkey or chicken next time. Autumn did gobble it up & they didn't seem to have any problem with their poops. It also didn’t give them bad breath like some foods do.

This was super easy to simply dethaw in the fridge and serve. I provided it as a topper for my five dogs. They were all chomping at the bit to eat as soon as they could smell it. It is packaged well, dense in appearance, easy to break up and easy to store for the next feeding. I love that it’s made with 100% human grade ingredients. The meats, veggies and bone broth were loved by my dogs. The veggies are visible in the food. I love the idea of giving them fresh, real food without the hassle of making it myself. The dogs seem to have tolerated it well. This was our first experience with fresh/frozen food. Package arrived on a very hot day, but it was still frozen solid when I opened it.

The dogs thoroughly enjoyed this food. My picky eater cleaned the bowl. I liked that you can see real carrots and veggies in the food, it was defrosting in my fridge and maintained its freshness. There was no unpleasant smells and digestion was easy for both my sensitive stomach German Shepherds. The packaging is thick plastic, so there’s no concerns about it leaking in the fridge or causing a mess. I appreciated that, even though I needed kitchen shears to open it. Overall, great product and would definitely recommend. This would also be a great option for frozen treats.

I had never ordered refrigerated food of any kind in the past. I have happily surprised when the product came completely frozen. I thawed one of the 4 packs and divided it. I served to my two cockapoos at separate times. The two-year-old took to it right away. She would have ate more, had I offered it. The fourteen-year-old was a little more hesitant, but after eventually sampling it, ate about half of it.

This is an absolute winner in my house of 3 dogs! While FedEx wasnt the most competent at delivery, Chewy made sure everything was packaged securely with tons of dry ice and insulation. Ive always been hesitant to order frozen dog food online because I never knew how it would arrive. If that is something that has held you back, rest assured Chewy has you covered on that 👍 I split one package up between 3 dogs as a mix-in and they gobbled it down like nothing ive seen. 100000% recommend!
