I’m not sure what I did wrong. I rinsed this sand for over 15 minutes. It turned my new fish tank blue. I had to take it all back out. Rinsed tank multiple times

I’m not sure what I did wrong. I rinsed this sand for over 15 minutes. It turned my new fish tank blue. I had to take it all back out. Rinsed tank multiple times with new water, new filters but there is still silica residue left.

I’ve washed this sand almost 20 times. The water is still blue and this is not a safe product for fish. I don’t know if they were trying to dye the sand but this
