Strong Animals Baby Chick Care Kit Poultry Supplement, 5-lb box

I contacted the manufacturer after I received the kit and saw that only select ingredients were certified organic. Since GMO corn (like other genetically engineered foods) have been shown to negatively impact the immune and several organ systems I asked if the used corn was non-GMO. 'Not it is not non-GMO' was the company's answer. I really appreciate the honesty; however, I am surprised that a company that obviously cares about animals and seems to know about the importance of organic ingredients choses to use GMO corn. I hope they will change this. I do use the water additive and believe it's very useful. I haven't yet used the litter product because our guys are still on paper towels but will soon transition to 'real' bedding where the mixture should be very helpful. Needless to say, we don't use the First Peep product that came with the kit. I am glad the other products are available independently from First Peep. As things stand now, I can't recommend the kit.
