The Wether Shield is made of a nylon water resistant exterior and built in inner fleece core, designed to be worn by itself or underneath another blanket for traveling in the winter weather adding extra warmth.

Not impressed

I purchased two goat coats size L which fits more like a XL & a XL that is more like a XXL. The coats never stayed in place and slid around and off our goats. The

I purchased two goat coats size L which fits more like a XL & a XL that is more like a XXL. The coats never stayed in place and slid around and off our goats. The underbelly strapdo were huge and we could not wrap them snuggly around them therefore the coats were very loose. I would recommend adding leg straps that are elastic so the coats stay in place and maybe shorter belly Velcro straps. Our goat got wrapped up in his coat and tore hole in his coat. This could have caused injury to the animal.

The small and medium fit our adult Nigerian Dwarf Dairy goat does while the Large size fits our Nigerian dwarf bucks perfectly. They are waterproof, windproof, and the fleece lining keeps our senior goats cozy and warm. We have fully enclosed barns and safety heat lamps inside the barns, so we only use these for some of "senior citizen goats" who are 10-12 years old and need the extra warmth when temps are 25 or lower. If you have clipped goats from a show, these aren't quite warm enough, BUT what we do is buy small and medium size (they run HUGE) purple fleece "goat & sheep underblankets" made by Weaver and layer them use under these Sullivan Wether shield blankets, and the two combined are perfect for keeping clipped goats warm & toasty!

Was super excited to find a jacket that had the raised collar for their longer necks and had a shorter chest piece to not impede on walking. While the jacket did fit pretty well in respect to those two features, it is not thick at all. It is more of a mild weather jacket in which you likly wouldn't need one in that type of weather. Might work for some goats that have a thick coat already and just need something water proof but it is not insulated. Good overall fit but just not a cold weather jacket.
