None of my 4 cats would touch it. They barely even sniffed it before backing away. So I tried smelling it, it reminded me of smelling stale outdated crackers where the oil had gone bad. Thankfully I had only gotten a sample size bag since I ended up throwing it away.

Great ingredients, but picky cats won't eat it

I recently decided to switch the food my three cats were eating, because their old food was not the healthiest for them. I was excited to try Petcurean Summit Meadow

I recently decided to switch the food my three cats were eating, because their old food was not the healthiest for them. I was excited to try Petcurean Summit Meadow Roast cat food as a healthier choice. The Meadow Roast flavor has a combination of chicken and duck as the main protein sources, with the addition of oatmeal to make the food easier on their digestion. Overall, the ingredient list looked promising, without artificial flavors or preservatives. Unfortunately, my cats are very picky eaters, and they refused to try this new food. I tried mixing it with their old food, but they would just pick out the old food and leave the new kibbles behind. I also tried switching them cold turkey, hoping that without the temptation of the new food they would be more willing to switch, but no dice. I’m disappointed because I wanted this food to work out. It seems like a high-quality product with good ingredients, but it’s just not a good fit for my cats. I would still recommend giving it a try if your cats are more adventurous, but be prepared that they may not like it.

We’ve fed Petcurean chicken/duck dry food to our three kitties for about a week. They love it,so I do too. I have one picky eater(Burmese),an older Scottish fold and one Burmese boy with IBS. All have liked the Petcurea food and the boy with IBS has not had a flare up on this cat food. The small kibbles are what all my cats prefer. This dry food has small round kibble. Perfect. I’d recommend Petcurean cat food.

The kibble is a nice small size. It doesn't feel oily/greasy -- and the smell doesn't overwhelm you when you open the bag. I like the quality ingredients.

I was hesitant to write this review because I was pretty unsatisfied. The mix I got was chicken and duck and it gave my cat diarrhea. I mixed it in with his last good but it was still pretty offensive (smells coming from cats litter box and back of tail/butt). I’m going to give the bag to someone because I just think it’s not a good food for sensitive kitty bellies.
