my dog would not stop chewing the cords behind my TV

drove me nuts,, I was sure something would spark, Tried sprays, yelling, nothing worked. Slipped a wire cover over the cables and boom problem solved. He sniffed

drove me nuts,, I was sure something would spark, Tried sprays, yelling, nothing worked. Slipped a wire cover over the cables and boom problem solved. He sniffed it, gave up, and trotted off like cords are boring now. House feels safer and I am way less stressed about surprise vet bills or fried wires. WORTH it.

Difficult to install and potentially dangerous

This cord protector is particularly difficult to install. It is split in order to facilitate a smooth application to a cord, but it’s unfortunately not as easy

This cord protector is particularly difficult to install. It is split in order to facilitate a smooth application to a cord, but it’s unfortunately not as easy as one would hope. It’s also a hard plastic, and my puppy chewed right through it and was able to pull off small pieces. We caught her in time before she ingested any of it, but I immediately removed it.

Bought this item to cover wires that were attractive to a new kitten. It does what it is supposed to and isn't that difficult to feed the wire into the slit with

Bought this item to cover wires that were attractive to a new kitten. It does what it is supposed to and isn't that difficult to feed the wire into the slit with a little patience. However, the lumen is a bit narrower than one I purchased elsewhere and is best for items like lamps rather than electronics with thicker wires. Still recommend though.

Works as intended

My cat hasn't tried to chew the electrical cord since I put on the protector, which is exactly what I'd hoped for. I can't say how well it holds up to chewing since

My cat hasn't tried to chew the electrical cord since I put on the protector, which is exactly what I'd hoped for. I can't say how well it holds up to chewing since that hasn't been an issue. It is fairly difficult to get open to put it over the cord, but it stayed put. Just use something to pry it open and slide that down while wrapping the protector around the cord. It was easier with 2 people.

Hard to apply, cracks easily

Hard plastic difficult to manipulate/thread cords through, and does not withstand a determined chewer ... my cat has already punctured multiple holes through these

Hard plastic difficult to manipulate/thread cords through, and does not withstand a determined chewer ... my cat has already punctured multiple holes through these in his efforts to gnaw on my phone charger. Price is good, but you get what you pay for. Not the best material choice for this pet issue.
