it’s good works well
My bun has an affinity toward chewing and eating hard plastics so I was skeptical in purchasing this. Luckily he does not care for the cord protector, my wires are not chewed, and we don’t have to visit the vet :) It’s a bit arduous pushing the cord into the protector. If you have children or someone with young healthy hands make them do it. Unless you want RA. Bonus : the cord protector comes presplit and does not have a horrid plastic odor.
not worth the money
impossible to attach to cords. tried screw driver, plyers, metal handle to try to separate the split so that the protector could go around the cord. no success
Works well for our cat
Our cat was chewing on wires that move (looks like a toy, we think?). These work great for charging phone cables etc. Sometimes hard to get on (gap is small), but a great deterrent once they are on. She's done a few test bites, and left them alone since.
WAY thinner than pictured
Good luck fitting a standard power extension cord in one of these.
Not necessarily chew proof
This works fine to deter my cats from chewing through the wires here at home. But I gave some to my friend who got a new puppy and he went right through them.
Good but not full-proof
The request to review the SunGrow Anti Chew Split Wire Cord Protector came coincidentally when I discovered fresh chew marks - actually holes - on the recently installed cord protector. I was quite optimistic that the hard plastic would deter my 3 lb rabbit from chomping down on the lamp cord. Alas, my bunny proved me wrong. Lol.
