Using salt in my Betta's tank has been a true revelation, amigos. My fish, named Miguel, was struggling with fin issues and stress. After some research, I decided to add a pinch of aquarium salt, which is typically around 1 teaspoon for every 5 gallons of water. The results were astonishing. Miguel became more active, his colors shone, and his fins regenerated. The salt helped ease his discomfort, making him healthier than ever. It's amazing how a small change can make a big difference. Salt is now an essential part of his tank, and I can't recommend it enough to keep Betta fish happy and healthy, compadres

Though not as cost-effective as some alternatives, this organic salt stands out for its purity. Ideal for small aquariums and a limited number of fish, it dissolves effortlessly. The resealable zip lock bag ensures freshness. While I prefer larger quantities, it's a reliable choice for my small hospital tanks during emergencies.

So, turns out that Bettas don't actually need this added to their tank or bowl. And it can harm live plants as well as some types of catfish and scaleless members of your tank. I won't be using this one, and wish I had researched better before buying it. I can harm the slime coat of many fish and upset the natural bacteria in the tank which then can cause fin and tail rot. Depending on what you have in your tank ( Betta included ) read some established fish sites before adding salt to your tank. The more I read up on items marketed for Bettas, I am finding that many are not needed or actually not recommended for them!! So frustrating
