cherry shrimp pop explosion

i didn't bother much about the couple of cherries in the past. I bet they feed on leftover from my guppies, or just eat their poop but one day, out of conscience

I bet they feed on leftover from my guppies, or just eat their poop but one day, out of conscience I bought these wafers for them. then couple of months later, to my horror, the shrimp population explode! there are tiny shrimps on the glass panel as well. so i guess these food works
