The clicker is loud and the whistle works just fine. The problem is that the clicker is designed backwards. The only way to click it easily is to hold it with
The clicker is loud and the whistle works just fine. The problem is that the clicker is designed backwards. The only way to click it easily is to hold it with the whistle mouthpiece against your palm, which makes it difficult to impossible to have the loop around your wrist. It's stupidly difficult to use in the same way as basically every other clicker with a wrist loop and that's a shame because otherwise it's a great price for what you get.

I’ve used clickers since the 1990s, and I know they vary in sound. But these are especially loud. Too loud. They scared my dog enough that even a short, careful session of “charging” the clicker ended up with him avoiding the treats because he associate them with the clicker. That is the opposite of the operant conditioning training model! So, these get donated to the SPCA. They aren’t entirely useless, but they are useless for my dog.
