How long does the us bulb last 365days or less

The UVC lamp must be replaced after 8,000 hours of operation in order to ensure that the filter UVC continues to operate with optimum effectiveness.

does it come with media for start up?

This filter does not include filter media. It comes with three removable trays that allow you to combine mechanical, biological, and chemical filtration agents of your choice to suit your tank needs.

Do I need filters

Running beautifully!

Filter is great, no leaks, very quiet, uv bulb working, water is crystal clear. Overall it’s a very good filter!

How fast it cleared up my tank

Took a few minutes to set up but after the initial setup it works beautifully cleared up our cloudy water and super easy to maintain now definitely going to be buying

Leaks/uv light doesn’t work

Maybe I might be a lil harsh with one star but in spite of the negativity reviews I read I said I would give it a try. Bought one and tried and said hey it works

Maybe I might be a lil harsh with one star but in spite of the negativity reviews I read I said I would give it a try. Bought one and tried and said hey it works fine. Decide to start a new tank and bought two for a 75 so now I have three(by the way light doesn’t work on first one, but hey it’s all good) hooked one up on new 75 and was having trouble getting it to pump but eventually it started working. Went to hook the second one up and it does the same thing but i eventually get it to start pumping, cool we good to go. Walk away from the tank got no more than 15 min and my floor is drench with water because this one is leaking. Out of all three now light works and one leaks. Waste of my time. Next time i read a review I will trust others judgement

Good Product - Needs More Instruction

I had to look up youtube videos to figure out how to set this thing up. Took me a total of an hour and a half from un-boxing & unpackaging to having it up and running

I had to look up youtube videos to figure out how to set this thing up. Took me a total of an hour and a half from un-boxing & unpackaging to having it up and running. I wish the instructions gave some recommendations for media to use in each media basket, because I had to research on that as well. After all research and assembly was completed, it works mazingly because I have not seen my fish tank this consistently clear since my 13" goldfish was a baby!

Works great

I bought for a 55 gallong planted tank. I was really worried after all the reviews, but I needed a filter. The instructions weren't great, but I have other canister

I bought for a 55 gallong planted tank. I was really worried after all the reviews, but I needed a filter. The instructions weren't great, but I have other canister filters so could figure it out. The UV light was a little scary. At first I didn't push it in far enough and it wasn't working. I had to really push it in - wiggle it a little helps. I was worried I was going to break the bulb, but it snapped in finally. NOTE: You MUST put the UV light in the correct corner for it to work. In the bottom of the bucket it tells you which corner. There is a magnet in the top corner that must align with the lid or it won't work. Overall, it is quiet and runs great. I'm happy with it. It does seem a little flimsy but it gets the job done.
