When will filter media pads be offered for this filter?

What size pump is needed to run this filter?

This will depend on the size of your pond. It is recommended that you circulate your pond's water once at least every 2 hours. Hence, your pump should have a GPH (gallons per hour) rating of at least half of your pond size.

Can I use this on a fresh water aquarium?

The filter is intended for use with ponds only.

How do you clean, and how often

The annual maintenance is limited to the control of the filter media and the UVc-lamp. The UVc-lamp should be replaced after 6000-8000 operating hours. Optimally, the change should be made at the beginning of the pond season in the spring.

First impressions on this pump

It might be because I didn't read the description. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that it has a UV sterilizer. And it is a lot bigger than I thought It was

So impressed with Pond Filter

Filter for koi pond

My pond is about 900 gallons. I used the 3000 due to direct sunlight & amount of fish. Filters back into pond through a 12 inch waterfall packed with healthy bacteria

Great Product and fast shipping.

After doing loads of research between this filter and others with a popular name there isn’t much difference between them. The 12000 model comes with Bioballs in

After doing loads of research between this filter and others with a popular name there isn’t much difference between them. The 12000 model comes with Bioballs in the bottom which I was thrilled to see. I have a 1,400 Gallon above ground pond with 10 Koi and it has kept the water crystal clear. I have a 2400GPH pump running it all. I clean it out about 4 times a month and it spits black water out for roughly 1 or 2 minutes and after that is clear again. I also have the smaller version filter rated at 1,600 GPH but with fish it couldn’t handle the load as well as this one does. I moved it to a 200 gallon tank I have Koi Fry in and the water is clear and the tank is spotless inside with 100 small koi in it. I’m buying another of these in the spring for my 1,000 gallon pond since this one does so well on my larger pond.
