Do I need to buy special tags for each of my cat collars? Where? What is the hub I need to purchase?

Answer by ChewyJan 09, 2026
This fountain is designed to work with the microchip implanted in the pet. The collar tags that we have available can be used in cases where the pet does not have an implanted microchip or there is an issue with the implanted microchip (weak signal / migrated in the pets body). The Hub is needed for the access to the app. The Felaqua can be used a simply drinking station without the Hub. With the Hub connected to the Felaqua, you can access the notifications on how often the pet has accessed the water and also how much was consumed.

Nice to track/easy to clean

I used to deal with filters and pump systems that had like 10 parts to clean as well as the pump itself which I couldn’t properly clean so this is a nice change

I used to deal with filters and pump systems that had like 10 parts to clean as well as the pump itself which I couldn’t properly clean so this is a nice change. Only downsides are that the water CAN get stale but the app reminds you a few times a week to freshen it in the bowl so they’ll drink more since it is still. That and the fact that the tracking sometimes just says that some odd amount of water has been removed periodically, rather than attributing it to a cat. Not sure if the microchip doesn’t get close enough or something but for the most part it’s exactly what I wanted - easier to clean and track intake
