Ingredients
Active Ingredients: Altrenogest solution 0.22% (2.2 mg/mL).
Instructions
While wearing protective gloves, remove shipping cap and seal; replace with enclosed plastic dispensing cap. Remove cover from bottle dispensing tip and connect luer lock syringe (without needle). Draw out appropriate volume of SwineMate solution. (Note: Do not remove syringe while bottle is inverted as spillage may result.) Detach syringe and replace cover on bottle dispensing tip to prevent leakage. Administer 6.8 mL (15 mg altrenogest) per gilts once daily for 14 consecutive days. Treat gilts on an individual animal basis by top-dressing SwineMate on a portion of each gilt's daily feed allowance. To produce the desired synchronization of estrus in a group of gilts, treat all of the gilts daily for the same 14-day period. Excessive use of a syringe may cause the syringe to stick; therefore, replace syringe as necessary.
Store at or below room temperature, 77° F. Close tightly. Always wear gloves when handling this medication. When removing a dose, the liquid often drips down the side of the container and should be cleaned up safely. SwineMate is an oily drug, and lots of detergent and water may be required for clean-up.

Many things might affect how well this drug will work in your animal. Be sure to discuss the following with your veterinarian so together you can make the best treatment decisions.
Other drugs can interact with SwineMate, so be sure to tell your veterinarian and pharmacist what medications (including vitamins, supplements, or herbal therapies) you give your animal, including the amount and time you give each.

If your animal has been treated for the same disease or condition in the past, tell your veterinarian about the treatment and how well it did or didn't work.

Tell your veterinarian and pharmacist about any medication side effects (including allergic reactions, lack of appetite, diarrhea, itching, hair loss) your animal has developed in the past.
SwineMate takes several doses before you will see any effect. The medication's full effects may not be evident until your animal has taken it consistently for several weeks. However, you may not see any improvement of clinical signs outwardly, so your veterinarian may need to run further tests to determine if the drug is working appropriately.
