Expired/expiring product

I was excited to feed these to my hedgies but the first order I received the product was set to expire in 3 days. I spoke to customer service who sent a nee shipment of the fly larvae for free. Guess what? They had the same expiration date as the first shipment so, by the time I received & opened them, they were expired & can’t be returned or refunded because they were “free” ARGH!

Wanted to love them but the little guy said NOPE

I have a leopard gecko who does eat fresh BSFL, which I like to order from this same seller on chewy. However, he's never able to eat all 500, so I figured I'd try this canned variety. I tong feed him anyway, for BSFL and figured he wouldn't mind. He has always eaten live food (dubias, mealworms, BSFL, occasional wax worms and hornworms, and crickets). He took 2 of these canned BSFL and then he ran away from me. He HATED them - I was super bummed because this would have been ideal, but I think they stink and evidently he thinks they taste gross. (He's usually a pig and comes running to me at the sound of the tongs.) If your reptile is ok with preserved things, it probably would be ideal. Mine is not.
