Not airline compliant

Love the carrier but it’s above the size restrictions for most airlines. Anytime I fly using it, I keep a backup soft sided carrier in my carry on. It’s too tall

Love the carrier but it’s above the size restrictions for most airlines. Anytime I fly using it, I keep a backup soft sided carrier in my carry on. It’s too tall to fit under most seats sadly.

Not too heavy

Molly got in it and curled up as soon as I took it out of the box. She sleeps in it at night with the door open. It’s not at all too heavy to carry. It’s a lot more

I used the Tavo Dupree ll airline carrier on a car trip to an AKC dog show. I have been showing dogs for over 15 years and have had many carriers. This carrier is the most well made one I have ever tried. At first I thought it was heavy…. But realized it was just made sturdy…. To last longer… to protect the dog. One of the coolest things about it is this lever you pull that makes two other levers open to go into the car seat to stabilize it. There is also a padded piece that goes on one end of the carrier to keep the dog protected from the car door. Those two items truly impressed me. I have small dogs so was able to put both pups in the carrier to ride together. I hated that I was not flying anywhere so I could try it out in an airplane but I have flown enough to know it would have been a very safe alternative from the other bags I have used. I truly recommend this bag to any dog lover who truly wants their dog to arrive safely when they travel! It is also aesthetically lovely!

Well-built, solid carrier for small pets

The Tavo Dupree pet carrier is a nice, solid, stable carrier for a small dog. The bottom is made of hard plastic, very solid construction. There are two pads inside:

The Tavo Dupree pet carrier is a nice, solid, stable carrier for a small dog. The bottom is made of hard plastic, very solid construction. There are two pads inside: one for warmer temps and one for cooler temps. Both are well constructed and cushy/supportive. It appears well-ventilated from either end and from the top. There is an extra solid pad that can hook to the top, covering that vent, so the pet can enjoy less distraction from that angle.I was happy to see a luggage tag and an Apple AirTag holder as well. It also has a sturdy side sleeve to fit around your carryon luggage handle securely. It comes with a separate shoulder strap as well that can be clipped on as needed. I removed only one star as it’s a very nice bag all around, but for a few reasons: #1, it’s quite heavy. I wouldn’t want to carry it for any length of time; however, I realize that’s not its main purpose. It’s meant to be a car seat or travel carrier. I’m sure the weight adds to its stability. #2, it comes with an instruction card with only pictures on it that I don’t understand at all, There is no instruction manual at all. I feel like it’s telling the user how to do and not do things, but I don’t understand. It could use a short user manual with words to go along with these pictures. #3, it comes with 4 plastic clip things as well that I have no idea what they’re used for. #5, my 5lb pup simply refuses to get in it, yet. She’s afraid of it. I’m sure when needed, with a bit of training, we can get her in, but right now she wants nothing to do with it. I realize this may not be the case for every dog. Overall, I really like this product.

I’ve had this in the car seat and on the Console. I have not had it in a plane yet but so far DaVinci absolutely loves it and it is very plush and well-made. It shipped and arrived in a very secure packaging. There are two removable beds inside and I like to have both in for stacking if he wants to sit taller. There are two zippers on each end for entry and exit and one on the top if he wants to sit inside and look out, there are lots of details and this is very expertly crafted.

The exterior material looks plush, thick and is very durable. There is plenty of ventalation and a exterior pocket for treats. The pet bed inside makes for cozy travel for my precious little girl. It is very stable & safe for travel by plane or car. Easily latches to seat in car to be used as a car seat as well. Liberty and I feel like a VIP!

Luxury carrier for your precious cargo!

Never in my wildest dreams did I think my dog carrier would be so well made that it would put my expensive luggage to shame! This carrier is well-constructed, durable and extremely versatile. It was designed with comfort, safety, and quality in mind. Not only is it airline compliant, but it easily snaps into the seat belt clips in the back seat of the car to be used as a car seat or just to safely transport your pet to and from the airport. The bottom and sides are sturdy enough to offer protection from the dangers of a rough ride, but the bedding is soft enough to allow for a nice nap, and there are plenty of mesh panels for airflow. Oliver, pictured, is an 8.8 Maltese, a little on the tall side for his breed, and he got into the carrier and willingly laid down. I do think he would have some difficulty turning around to change positions. If I were to suggest any change to this high quality carrier, it would be to add another inch or so in height; however I think Tavo did this to ensure that the carrier is compliant in all airliners. Although it’s described as suitable for pets weighing up to 20 pounds, I have some trouble imagining that pets at the higher end of the limit could travel comfortably. But for smaller dogs and cats, this carrier is the top of the line and cannot be beat. I highly recommend!

After personally testing it out with my pets, ranging from my 6lb toy poodle to my 16lb mini poodle. I can confidently say this is the best travel carrier I’ve used to date. Whether you're flying with a puppy, heading to the vet, or hitting the road, this bag is worth every penny for the peace of mind and protection it provides. This carrier is reinforced like a hard crate but much lighter and easier to carry. It has the integrity of a hard plastic kennel with the movability of a soft one. The integrated ISOFIX latches snap securely into your car seat’s anchors with a quick push of a button. No more struggling with seatbelts, this feature alone is a game changer. It comes with two machine washable orthopedic mattress pads one plush, one waterproof. My pets were comfy, and I didn’t have to worry about accidents or messes. Designed to fit under most airline seats and comes with thoughtful details like a trolley sleeve, travel pouch, and tracking device holder. The wipeable interior tray and removable pads make cleaning up simple after a long day of travel (or an unexpected mess). The carrier includes Tailor Tech memory foam side impact protection, tested to the same standards as child safety seats. This bag is solid and doesn't fold, which takes up more space. But honestly, I’d rather sacrifice storage for safety any day. It’s perfect for small pets, especially short breeds. Taller pets may need to crouch. My 6lb, 8" tall toy poodle fits beautifully, but my 16lb, 14" mini poodle had to hunch a bit.
