Is the frame made of steel? Is it crush resistant? I feel like the other safety measures are nice, but the biggest thing to protect a dog from other than flying loose in a crash is being crushed.

With the onyx color would it get too hot due to the darker color of it?

According to the manufacturer, there has not been any feedback indicating that the darker color fabric is hotter than the other fabric colors. It should not be any hotter than the other colors.

Safe and Chic 3 in 1 Carrier That's Perfect for Your Fur Baby!

I LOVE THIS CARRIER! I have a ten-pound Pekingese and went with the medium flex which fits perfectly in a four-door sedan. My little MonaLisa adapted immediately to her new ride! The set includes an interchangeable interior for those days baby needs a more plush and warm bed. Setting up the stroller is easy as the wheels and caddy snap into place. Getting the carrier in the stroller is a breeze. If you are petite like me (5'2) removing it from the stroller requires both arms and the use of your legs to balance the front on, I like to hug and snap the buttons down, pull and then remove the carrier from the stroller. I got it after a few tries! Setting up the base for the car is easy; however, you will want to practice running through getting the carrier on and off of it. It took me a few tries but once I figured out where the base should land it became quite easy. If you have a 2 door mini convertible you'll need to open the top to get the medium carrier in. It's a great ride for my girl and EVERYONE stops to admire them! EVERYONE! I go on hour-long walks in pot-hole-heavy Chicago. This set is GREAT.

We use as a car seat, a rest for tired feet, and a comfy spot when the humans eat on a restaurant patio. The stroller and car seat hook and unhooks easily. The stroller folds up easily and stores well. The stroller rolls smooth and turns easy. Easy to clean up the inside the pod. Our boston terrier has lots of room in the medium and seems comfortable both in the car and in the stroller. Our only complaints are how much space in the car it takes, and that doesn't sit as flat on the car seat so it has movement. Completely worth it for the safety in the car and convenience of the stroller system. Plus, it is very nice looking.
