If use tetra lifeguard all in one bacterial and fungus treatment do I need to remove the charcoal from my filter?

When using the All-in-One Bacterial & Fungus Treatment: leave the filter system running normally, remove filter carbon for duration of treatment. Turn off UV sterilizer if present. Add one tablet per day to each 5 gallons of aquarium water. Treat for 5 consecutive days, at 24-hour intervals. For best results, after 5 day treatment, wait another 24 hours (day 6) before returning activated carbon, and turning on UV sterilizer. Also, on day 6, make a 25% water change using tap water conditioner/dechlorinator (such as Tetra AquaSafe).
