You said to use it with the water but remove charcoal during use. how long should you wait to put charcoal back in filter?? confused?

Answer by Chewy • Jul 24, 2019
The carbon filter and charcoal can be returned after 6-8 hours.

Will this affect loaches or snails? Thank you in advance...

We recommend that you remove them from the tank while treating. You can return them to the tank after you have finished the last dose, completed a 25% water change and have left the new carbon filter cartridge in your filter for at least 8-12 hours.

Is the treatment safe to do while having fish in the tank?

Answer by Chewy • Jan 16, 2023
Fish can remain in the tank during the treatment, as long as they are not scaleless. This product cannot be used with live plants, snails, shrimp, etc. Do a partial water change prior to dosing and remove what algae you can. Remove the carbon from your filter to prevent it from removing the chemical. It only needs to be removed for 5-6 hours before being put back in. The chemical works for up to 72 hours to destroy the algae. As it dies off, your cartridge will catch it.

Do I drop this right in the tank or in the filter?

It is recommended to add tablet to aquarium water. Remove carbon from filter during use.
