Is this safe in ponds for catfish to be eating ? How many gallons will this treat ?
Answer by • Apr 02, 2024
When properly used, it is safe for fish with scales, but not recommended for invertebrates like shrimp, crayfish, snails, amphibians like frogs or tadpoles, or scaleless fish like catfish. The 16.9-ounce bottle treats 6,000 gallons, the 33.8-ounce bottle treats 12,000 gallons, and the 101.4-ounce bottle treats 36,000 gallons.
Why do you have to wait 3 months to use this in a new pond?
Answer by • Jun 17, 2024
New ponds are going through the initial stages of the nitrogen cycle so it is a very sensitive time. It is best to only use this product in a mature pond to avoid issues with water quality or fish loss.
After doing 3 treatments how long do I have to wait to treat again?
Answer by • Aug 12, 2020
If you are addressing a problem, dose every three days or 72 hours, up to 3 total doses, then give the pond a week off from it. One or two doses is usually enough. Make sure you have plenty of water movement, aeration and filtration. For maintenance purposes, dose whenever you start seeing algae forming or at most, once a week.
Is this product ok for natural pond no liners or concrete with Koi
