How much would I use for a 5,000 gallon pond? I'm new to making a pond this summer.

For a pond treat with 1/4 cup (60 ml) for every 300 gallons of pond water. For a 5000 gallon pond, that would equate to roughly 4.2 cups.

Can I use this in my red eared slider tank for their water?

This water conditioner contains chlorine and chloramine neutralizer which makes tap water safe for fish and plants. While this conditioner can be used along side turtles, the Tetrafauna AquaSafe Reptile Water Conditioner is a little bit milder, and does not contain a slime coat additive.

Does turn rural Watter green ?

I been emptying and power washing a 7,500 gallons pond and pressure washing 4 times . I noticed this product turn the clear Watter green in 2 hours . I try one time

I been emptying and power washing a 7,500 gallons pond and pressure washing 4 times . I noticed this product turn the clear Watter green in 2 hours . I try one time fill it , let it set for 3 days , and than put this product . in the next 2 hours turned green . Is this happens because is rural Watter ? I used this product in another’s ponds and never had this problem .

Safe product

I have used Aqua Safe for years in my pond. I use it in spring when cleaning and prepping and anytime I add tap water.

There are several brands of chlorine neutralizer available and they all work so it really comes down to cost. For example, a 16 oz. bottle of Beckett's costs about the same as a 16.9 oz. bottle of Tetra's, but Beckett claims to treat 960 gallons of water while Tetra claims to treat 2500 gallons. Big difference! I've been using Tetra Aqua Safe for years at the manufacturer's recommended concentration and never had a problem. BTW a lot of houseplants are also sensitive to chlorine in tap water, especially those with large broad leaves. Chlorine poisoning shows up as brown tips and brown burnt looking edges on the leaves. Try adding about 10 drops of Aqua Safe to a gallon of water before watering your plants every time you water and the new leaves will come in nice and fresh and green.
