Limited pumping power

I bought this pump to use to do water changes in my aquarium. Even though it said it pumps 75 gph, it doesn't have enough power to pump the water from a trash can

I bought this pump to use to do water changes in my aquarium. Even though it said it pumps 75 gph, it doesn't have enough power to pump the water from a trash can back into my aquarium, so it's worthless.
