  • Turtles love them!

    By on

I have two turtles and one is 28 and the other is 14. They've been eating these their whole lives with occasional fish or crickets. They love these pellets! My son had a water frog that ate these and loved them too! Not to mention they're a fraction of the price on Chewy than in the pet store. Thanks, Chewy!

  • for a long health life

I have a turtle who is over 30 years old and has eaten Tetra ReptoMin as the main component of her diet. I've had turtles since the bad old days when commercial turtle food provided no nutrition, so I can give no better recommendation.

We use this with the fishmate F14 feeder and it works well. Food doesn’t clump and the turtle eats all of the pellets. We’ve used this food for over a year and the turtle is still growing and healthy.

  • There are better staples, but good to include in a varied diet

    By on

ReptoMin Floating Sticks can be included as part of a turtle's varied diet. This food is higher in protein than many other commercial diets, which is OK perhaps for hatchling turtles but not for turtles older than that (too much protein is not a good thing if you are a mature turtle). Also, this product has a rather high phosphorus level compared to other commercial diets. I do use Reptomin sticks for my turtles, but I do not make it the bulk of their diet. Include some bits of green leaf veggies, other commercial diets, perhaps some brine shrimp, river shrimp, etc and definitely calcium block.

Turtles like them and so do the guppies which the turtles are supposed to be eating! Reasonable price for a good sized canister. Thanks Chewy!

  • Awesome value!!!

Ordered this from Chewy when I totally forgot to get my turtle more food at the store and didn't want to be shamed by him when it was time for his food and he wondered why I was rationing it out... very quick delivery and super awesome price! This is usually 3xs the price at the pet store for the same size. Thanks for saving the day chewy!! Max is 30 years old and thanks you for making sure he's stocked up on his foods for a long time!

Shelby is my turtle...he is 26 years old...this is the food that he has been eating since day one....... have tried other foods from time to time but he refuses to eat most of it....so I guess that speaks volumes for Tetra .... Ordering from Chewy's was so easy.....the price was right and delivery was swift.... Glad that I paid attention to the TV commercials.....

My son received a silver dollar sized turtle 5 years ago and someone recommended this food to us. The Turtle is now 8 inches in diameter and seems very happy. The price was great at chewy

  • Red eared slider’s favorite food

These food sticks are clean and easy to sprinkle into the tank. Red-eared sliders love them. Chewy.com sells them for a much cheaper price than chain pet stores. Fast, free shipping too!

  • RES staple food

    By on

This is the one source of food my turtle(s) has and always will have. I try out other food and snacks a lot, as turtles love variety, but it's always in addition to his food sticks. This way I know that he's always going to get the nutrition he needs, regardless of his latest food fad. And all other foods come after he's had his food sticks.
