The halter has pre-placed slots to allow attachment of the Flexible Filly Muzzle which facilitates application, especially for those new to the product. The leather crown piece is thin and will break in an emergency, but decent enough for daily use. Be sure to align the zip ties exactly in the middle of the slots or you will have difficulty passing them through. I passed the tip of a hoof pick through gently to open up the slots before passing the zip ties-much less frustrating!!!

it will do in a pinch

My horse broke his leather break away halter. I needed a replacement in a pinch and this did the trick. I do miss the traditional clasp for securing the halter though

Horse gets off it about 2 minutes

Had to make as tight as possible to get throat latch under jaw- otherwise horse can slip it right over easily

Beautiful Halter to Use with Grazing Muzzle

Between the Thinline muzzle and this halter that is designed for it, the arrangement is pretty pricey, but if your horse needs a muzzle--my guy had EMS--you can't

Between the Thinline muzzle and this halter that is designed for it, the arrangement is pretty pricey, but if your horse needs a muzzle--my guy had EMS--you can't go wrong. Check out the Thinline website for useful videos. The Thinline people are wonderful, but the shipping from Chewy was free, and every little bit counts when you have horses.
