Is this effective to eliminate skunk odors that linger weeks after the dog has been sprayed? I've tried natural treatments however the odor is still there a little and its been a couple weeks

This shampoo is specifically designed to remove all traces of skunk spray from your intrepid pup’s coat. The formula is gentle on sensitive skin, but powerful enough to remove the smell. Once applied the first time, if the odor persists, continue to reapply as necessary.

Horrible Smell

Seriously disappointed. Reviews said product worked well. All it did was attempt to mask the skunk smell with a horrible floral Odor. Took longer to get the product

Skunk-Off is the only product I have tried that actually works. Rub it on the dog, wait two minutes and even if the dog gets wet, no stink. Except for their breath

The groomer at our vet clinic recommended this, and we have used it several times on our dog, who wants to make friends with the local skunks. Follow the instructions,

The groomer at our vet clinic recommended this, and we have used it several times on our dog, who wants to make friends with the local skunks. Follow the instructions, and it works better than anything else we've tried. The dog will smell like Skunk Off after using, but not like skunk. A regular bath will remove almost all of the Skunk Off fragrance afterwards. We've used this often enough to understand that it is not just covering up the skunk smell, it is removing it. We also use it to get the skunk smell out of our dog' collar after he socializes with the skunks. This is the kind of thing that is best to have already on hand , in case you need it.

I first bought this a couple of weeks after my dog got sprayed. I was disappointed then, because it didn't seem to do much. Fast forward to last night. Our new puppy got sprayed directly in the face. It was so bad my husband and I were gagging! I broke out the bottle of shampoo with not much hope but lathered her anyway. To my surprise the smell was completely gone once I rinsed her off! I am AMAZED. I think the reason it didn't work when I first used it was because of user error. This stuff is to be used IMMEDIATELY after they are sprayed and BEFORE you wet them down. Going to buy another bottle for when they inevitably get sprayed again!
