When I thought “mat” I thought it would have a bit of cushion. This has none. If you’re looking for something so your dog has more sure footing in the kennel it’s great. I would say it’s no thicker than a cm thick. It does lay well and stays pretty much in spot with my shepherds jumping into the crate. But cushion it does not have At least not when I think of a crate mat.

This mat does the job it’s intended to do & it’s a perfect fit in the Thule carrier. With that being said, it isn’t very thick or durable. It has less thickness

It arrived rolled up & easily unrolled, but held its curve. This might be a problem for dogs that dig at their mats. To be completely honest, there are probably better quality mats out there.
