  • This has been life changing!

    By on

Our elderly dog with hip issues has been a bit grouchy with our other pets playing too close to him (fear of getting bumped). Even though he feels a bit better with meds he's still sketchy- particularly in the morning and evening during the feed and med times when everyone is dancing around in the same smaller space in anticipation of yummies. We've been using the mask until the morning/ evening rush is over and it has made a HUGE difference in his stress level (pretty much non-existent) and ours!

  • Taking my dog to the vet is more calming

    By on

I still have to wait outside on a bench but every dog that goes in the door she is not barking at or whining. She was more calm waiting and even when the vet tech took her to the back she was calm. I found it was best to put it on her right before I take her out of the car because she will take it off if I put it on her before. Every dog is different but this worked for her.

  • Great item

fits perfect and gives the right amount of calmness for my dog. However, he is not calm enough to let me trim his nails while wearing the cap. LOL don't know if he just has a sense of when it's nail trimming time.

  • calming cap

I use this in the car for my Great Dane, who was becoming reactive to people/dogs walking past the car. It seems to help, but not sure if it was just because it shut him down. Working on building positive association with the calming cap, but it is pretty tight around his muzzle. I may have to cut the elastic on the muzzle to make it more comfortable for him, otherwise it fits well.

  • Cap fits the dog

I am still in training with the cap and getting it on the dog. I hate this review the product constant reminders when you have not given time for the dog to get use to it and use it.

I got this for one of my dogs, who has super anxiety on walks, and it works! This makes my walks enjoyable, especially when I'm walking all 3 babies...

  • works well

This is a good product, helped my OCD dog ride in the car peacefully. I wish the underside strap were longer to make it easier to attach, and how can I remove his fur from the velcro when it is clogged up? If the strap were longer I would give this a 5 star rating

  • Such a great product!

I have a pitbull/boxer that weighs about 80# and is very visual. If he sees another dog while we're on a walk, he goes crazy and out of control. This item was used on him at a 7-day K9 rehab class that he just went through. This calming cap allows him to see in front of him but makes him rely on other senses, such as smell. It blocks side vision, which means he doesn't see other dogs across the street and so walking is so much more calmer. It's worked wonders for us and now we're able to walk without having to worry about distractions and hopefully can start to wean him off of it

  • Great for your Reactive Rover

My rescue GSD is SEVERELY dog and people reactive. This cap is like having a veil over his eyes and limits what he sees - dogs are not like humans in the sense that the get uneasy if they cannot see. It's actually the complete opposite. Reactive/aggressive dogs react based off of eye/face contact with the trigger (in Kai's case: dogs or people at any distance). This cap works much like the caps that go over horses faces. I put it on Kaiser on car drives in and out of our neighborhood, especially during "everyone is walking theirs and their cousin's dog" time. His reactions are minimal, if there are any at all. In general, his stress level is lower and he is no longer constantly scanning for My rescue GSD is SEVERELY dog and people reactive.
