My 10 mo Bullmastiff is petrified of thunder, is easily startled at loud noises. She loves the Thunder bites & wearing her shirt. Independence day was the true test. She laid perfectly in her crate when fireworks started going off and finally went off to sleep. I think the trick was getting her used to wearing the shirt on and off in the preceding days before the fireworks started. She's perfectly comfortable wearing it. (It was actually the large size shirt, not x-small, lol.)

Sadly added more stress

The Thundershirt may be a great idea for some dogs but my German Shepherd did not like it at all. She became visibly more stressed while wearing it while fireworks

The Thundershirt may be a great idea for some dogs but my German Shepherd did not like it at all. She became visibly more stressed while wearing it while fireworks were going off. When I took it off, she stopped panting and settled down. Sadly since she has worn it I probably can’t return it. I’ll donate it to our local shelter. Hopefully they can use it.
