Would this support a larger cat who weighs about 20 lbs? How do the cats get to the upper levels?

Answer by GaasSep 15, 2021
Yes, it would. My cat is a large breed and weighs 26 lbs. That said, he does not like to go up high. I would recommend the farmhouse. This is pretty, but their is a design flaw at the top for large breed cats and that is that there is a 2 story drop through a small hole from the top. That is the only way down, or like my cat, he just jumps down from the top. He never goes higher that the 2nd story, but he loves it. I am going to buy the farmhouse for another room. I think that will be more than enough for him.

is the base weighted so it does not tip over when the cat is on the top?

Answer by ChewyJun 08, 2021
The base of this Cat Scratcher is not weighted differently, so for best results, we recommend putting the item in a corner of the room to anchor the item into place well.

what is the shipping weight?

Answer by ChewySep 09, 2021
This cat scratcher weighs 14.8 pounds.

Are the scratching surfaces replaceable? If not, how long are they expected to last?

Answer by ChewyMar 13, 2021
The are no replacement scratching surfaces available at this time. The time they’re expected to last will vary upon usage.

Felix loves his new corrugated cat castle -- he's been waiting for a castle all his life. It takes up more room than I expected. The instructions were confusing and the QR code that's supposed to take you to a helpful video instead takes you to a 404 ERROR page, lol. My wasband is a mechanical engineer, so he was still able to put it together in under an hour.

Go immediately to YouTube to watch a video. Seriously, the paper instructions in the box are wrong from step one. Other than that, this is a worth product for the money.

It took me 3 hours to assemble. Instructions are poorly written. None of the parts are labeled. It took me a long time swapping wall parts around. My cats love it

If your cat chews cardboard..

I would suggest getting something that doesn't have exposed support tabs. They all love it but one of my cats chews cardboard (was hoping it wouldn't cause issues),

I would suggest getting something that doesn't have exposed support tabs. They all love it but one of my cats chews cardboard (was hoping it wouldn't cause issues), he decided to chew specifically the support tabs that stick out so some of the floors have collapsed. Its great as long as your cat doesnt do that lol trying a different one next time. Also, the paper instructions are very confusing, a video from the Tiger Tough yt channel was much more helpful.

The cats REALLY enjoy playing, hanging out and napping in it.

It’s space efficient yet provides a lot of rooms for the cats to choose or run around in. Better than a cat tree! Lots of scratching options.

Cat's love it

The cats love it. Look at the photos to build it, the pieces are not marked correctly!

We got this and tried to find directions hut there were none however there was a QR code that said it would have videos to watch for step by step instructions. It was 404 page. We put pieces together only to discover they were the wrong pieces so many times eventually the tabs that were meant to go through the corresponding holes were floppy and had no stability. We eventually got something put together but for stability sake we used duct tape. This was ridiculous and if it was for large cats it could never work. I do not recommend this at all. The idea is probably better than the implementation which is almost impossible without instructions.

I was scared it wasn’t sturdy enough like some cat trees my cat is around 9-10 pounds I think and it doesn’t budge. When he jumps on it or runs up and down in the inside it stays intact. Some of the holes were alittle misplaced but I just cut new ones and it did great. I just made slivers with a knife. It wasn’t as was difficult as I thought it’d be but if wasn’t the easiest either. I put it together on my own it’s probably better with two people.
