Both long and short haired cats shed to some degree all year long. Bathing and brushing helps lower the amount of hair swallowed during self-grooming, but some hair gets into the stomach and it cannot be digested. It can block your cat's digestive system. Regular use of Laxatone coats the swallowed hair and allows it to easily pass through the intestinal tract. Laxatone is a safe, gentle, easy-to-use gel used worldwide for over 25 years. It has an irresistible taste... just place the recommended amount of gel on your finger or on the animal's paw. For best results, feed between meals and do not mix with food.

I put a little bit on my girl’s paw and she almost had a fit! First I tried to give to her from my finger, not interested. So I put some on her front paw and she didn’t know what to do with herself, it was like she was trying to run from her own paw. Eventually she managed to shake and lick it away but unfortunately if that tiny amount caused that much distress lord knows what would happen if I put a full dose. Oh well!
I ordered this for our 16+ year old cat. She has kidney disease, but doesn't eat well to begin with. She seemed to be less interested, so we felt likely hairballs. She seems to like the taste because she doesn't hesitate to lick it off her paw as she should. It came recommended by our vet. Ingredients are safe
I am so thrilled that not only does my cat love this product but that it has No chicken of any kind in it!! My baby has allergies to chicken and its So hard to find anything that doesn't have some kind of chicken in it. He also hasn't had a hairball since we started using this.
I was afraid he wouldn't like it, as he for years, was used to and loved the chicken flavor of another brand. The other brand changed it's formula and texture and he no longer would accept it. I tried this tuna gel, and it is a yummy hit.
Brought this to give a pill to my 19 yr old cat. Unfortunately she did not like. I was hopeful because of the fish flavor but a no go
Our feline had such problems with hairballs and threw up often. Once the vet recommended this treatment we have been so successful in keeping our kitty fur-ball free. She loves the tuna flavor and we give it to her twice a week per our vet recommendation.
Great product! Just mix into regular food once a day until BM softens up. Works well for hairballs too. Way better Better price than local pet stores.
I bought this for our older Maine Coone who has been having some hairball issues. All I do is swipe a little bit on his paws and he licks it right off. He loves the flavor. I haven't been using it long enough to tell if it's going to really help or not but I hope it will.
I have been trying to find something to help with hairballs. Some of my cats will have a whooping cough sound, trying to get rid of the hairballs. My Maine Coon is the one with the most issues and he loves this stuff. With 5 cats, only 2 of them will eat it. I am giving 5 STARS because this stuff works great. It's not their fault my other 3 don't care for it. I still put some in their mouth LOL I think I will try a few other flavors to see if the others would take this willingly. We all know how picky cats can be. It does have a runny consistency, not totally water though. I will put some on a small saucer and my two boys lick it clean. If you have to force it into their mouth, I suggest using a syringe. Fingers and a mad cat don't mix too well. I have seen improvements with the coughing and trying to get rid of the hairballs. It makes it leave from the opposite end.
Our 14-year-old cat was having issues with hairballs and vomiting. We started using Vet's Best Chewable Tablets Hairball Control Supplement for Cats, which almost totally resolved the hairballs and vomiting. On rare occasion she needs a dose or two of the Tomlyn Hairball Remedy Gel for Cats. She loves the flavor and it straightens out her digestive system. Thank you !
