What is the difference between the cat version and the kitten version?

This kitten supplement contains 25 calories per teaspoon and the "Tomlyn Nutri-Cal High-Calorie Dietary Cat Supplement" is formulated for adult cats and contains 28 calories per teaspoon.
I need something to mix with food as my kitten dose not go for wet food any more like she used to. She is 6 months not to skinny but not really gaining weight. Can I mix this in her food?

To supplement your kitten's caloric or nutritional intake feel 1/2 teaspoon daily into orally. To acquaint your kitten with the flavor, place a small amount of the gel on its nose or in its mouth.

I have a 7 week old kitten that has coccidia. She isn't gaining weight like she should. Can I give her this to help calorie intake and help her gain weight?

Funky Smell

The smell was sour as soon as I opened it. My lactating cat stepped back and walked away as soon as she smelled the multivitamin. I thought she was being picky but my other cat had the same reaction. I tried to mix it with treats and their food but could not get them to eat it. Maybe it was a bad batch ?

Kitten Saver

I foster. This stuff has help save a dozen kittens over the last three years. Not a full diet but high nutrition when most needed. They will lick it off your finger or end of tube usually.

Kitten won’t eat this paste

Our little kitten is recovering from round worms and needs extra calories so we bought this for him. I mixed it with his kitten chow, he sniffed it and walked away. I gave him a plate of this paste alone and a plate with the paste mixed in with his treats and he wouldn’t try those either. We have other cats that took a sniff but walked away as well. Wouldn’t recommend.

A great snack for my kittens

In addition to being a good snack, it is perfect for when I have to give my kitten a pill. I crush it and mix it with the gel and she licks it right up.

Cats wouldn't eat it

I bought the malt flavor version of this and stuck treats in it to get my old skinny cat to eat it. But I couldn't trick my cat into eating this stuff. I have 3 cats and none of them would touch it. I even have an ant problem and the ants wouldn't touch this. Waste of money, likely going into the garbage.

Runs for the cover of the bed

I really don't like this product. My mommy keeps trying me to take some and she gets it on the paw or nose. Now, I am hissing at her- which I do not want to do- but she got to understand I don't like this gel. Sorry mom, but I am a lover not an eater. Yes, I am a skinny cat- get over it. Captain Morgan

confusing!!

One of my cat is picky eater and I was looking for something that can boost her appetite. However this one has same ingredient as tomlyn Nutritional supplement gel. They have same ingredients and same amount of them in this products….!!

Good stuff for an underweight kitten

So I had a rescue kitten in a failure to thrive situation. I got him this to help put weight on him and hopefully give him an extra boost. This and the Acana food have been lifesavers! The kitten has finally put on weight and has more energy than I’ve ever seen! I honestly wondered if he would make it. Been a hard month. He’s all over the place now, which is amazing <3 Only downside is this little guy is picky! He won’t eat it on his own. So I put it on my fingertip, give him a quick neck scruff like the vet does, and down it goes. Not a huge deal to help facilitate that he get this good stuff in him. I would recommend this to anyone with a cat that is struggling.

Cats won't touch it

Only 1 of my 4 cats will eat this, though 3 of them will eat the regular malt flavor. My older boy won't eat either flavor and he's the one who really needs it.

My eldest loves it

I’ve been buying this since my oldest boy was 14. I also give him the laxative in this brand once he starts vomiting. He used to eat the laxative like he liked it until I started him on this. Which he still eats it when needed but it’s clear to me he really is bit disappointed when he realizes it’s not this. He is 16 now. I love it. Let me be clear though. Just because my cat adores it doesn’t mean your cat is going to. I have a younger one that when she needed it she wouldn’t touch it. I have another one that should she catch me giving it she has to have a bit of it as well. She loves it. I found when I give it in little bites throughout the day as opposed to one dose it stimulates his appetite and he eats better. He has actually put on more weight since I started doing that and I supplement him with wet and share some chicken. He lost appetite and has trouble eating dry food now so this combined with soft foods is fantastic for a senior cat! Love this product!
