I have zero complaints about this, it's ingenuous and simple. I love that it naturally keeps water cooler stored in the ring, and easy to keep water fresh. Will

Best free flowing water bowl!
Lasts at least a week for 2 cats, no pump to deal with, no slime at water line, easy to fill and clean. And BOTH cats drink from it vs other pump type that one cat

Great for messy drinkers and attempted swimmers

My GSD pup is one to play in the water bowl (attempted swimming) and is a messy drinker to boot. This solved both problems - a controlled amount of water flows out at once, reducing the temptation to play, and the higher bowl sides keep more of the water either in the dog or in the bowl. I'm planning to buy a second one!
Excellent way to travel with water
We had bought one of these almost 10 years ago and it cracked so we bought a new one. It’s great for traveling.

We couldn't be happier with this bowl... it doesn't leave film like other self filling water bowls as it has a filter. Also love the feature of being able to close it off and holding water for those travel trips. And it's sturday! I've seen some less than stellar reviews for this bowl... let me try to help clear some things up: Filter: in order to change the filter, you must first remove the cap; pull out the filter and replace with a new one. We change our pups every 30 days, some time we change our HVAC filter. It's now become a habit. (btw anytime you buy something that requires a filter, the item is going to cost more because you'll have to replace the filters - duh!) Clean: while some complain about not being able to clean, we've had zero problems; we will submerge in hot soapy water and then put in the dishwasher to do a more through clean, as well as getting rid of the soap. We've never had an issue. Open/Close feature: you simply twist where the arrow is pointing to close or open... up is close and to the left is open - tada! Water level: we have two large dogs and before we leave the house, we always fill the bowl no matter if we think it's low or not... generally our dogs will let us know if they're out of water while we're here. Warranty: there's no warranty, if you drop it, it's on you; if you're simply unhappy with it, contact Chewy... they generally try to make things right

I bought this to use in the car for my dog, and for that purpose it is great! An easy way ton transport water and the bowl in one and no spills. However, it cannot be taken apart, so there is no way to clean the inside other than rinsing or soaking it. It is also hars to completely dry the inside. I suspect it will grow mold. Also, it doesn’t drain all of the water in the reservoir into the bowl.
Nothing
The item itself was to much work. I gave it away.

No matter how much I cleaned the bowl from the inside and out, there was a film (of what I assume to be microplastics) that came flowing out of the bowl. In the right light I could actually see the particles of the film actively flowing from the spout. No matter how much I scrubbed or soaked the bowl in soap the film came out either way. I wanted to like this bowl and never really write reviews but I don't want my dog and others to be drinking mysterious film (that may be microplastics?) regularly
