Rubbery!!!!!!!

I have made my dog dehydrated chicken for many years. They always came out crispy, and my dogs loved them. In fact every dog I came in contact with loved them!

I have made my dog dehydrated chicken for many years. They always came out crispy, and my dogs loved them. In fact every dog I came in contact with loved them! But, I became ill, so I had to stop making my own 100% jerky treats. Then I found others that are 100% chicken and they were crisp, too. But, too thin and they broke into powder. I finally found some I really liked! They were crisp and the dog loved them. The problem was the price! $40 for a little over a pound. Then the price increased to $50 for a little over a pound! As a 74 yo disabled woman on a pension, that's a lot of money! Then, I saw these. 100% chicken for $30 a pound. So, I bought them. When I opened the bag I was VERY disappointed! They are supposedly 100% chicken, but they are rubbery. They bend and feel oily. I looked, again, because I never had chicken like this before. It says 100% chicken, but it also said to "wash your hands after handling!" I never saw that warning on any chicken treats before. The pieces were a bit big for my Cavachon, so I tried to break one. It bent, but didn't break! I had to get scissors to cut one into bite size pieces. He ate the one I cut up, but I still don't trust them. I won't be giving them to him, again. Rubbery chicken treat? Not for my little boy. I don't trust these. I'm going back to the $50 bags until I feel well enough to make my own, again.
